Goldeneye / Perfect Dark Blow Out Continues

Modify the Goldeneye ROM images!
All Bonds! Beta Faces! Tons!

A brilliant piece of work that allows you to change images in the forbidden zone, the Goldeneye ROM. Using our ROM Image Swapper, you can change almost every image from he game permanently in your ROM to another one.

Not only that, but we've discovered the All Bonds Faces and Suits still stashed in Goldeneye's ROM!!! We've also discovered other Beta faces and textures, and much more.

After replacing, you can play it back in Project 64, or those with a Doctor 64 should be able to play it on the console itself with the new ROM. This is only intended for personal use of your backups, and is not intended for anything else.

The images enclosed in the zip are required, and are not intended as copyright infringement or for any use other than as data for the program. They are used to speed up the program.

We're still working on the compression format, so it's possible sometime in the near future you will actually be able to permanently put your own face and textures into the game permanently.

For now, enjoy the ROM Image Swapper, tons to do, lots of great conversions. The remote mine is a good place to start.

One last thing: Don't ask for the Goldeneye ROM, back it up yourself or get someone else to for you.

How to use the ROM Editor:[list][*]File -> Load the Goldeneye ROM. Note, that it must be extracted if it were previously zipped.[*]The window should display a list of images from the ROM. The combo box reading 20 x 20 (32 pixels by 32 pixels) can be switched to show the other dimensions of images from the ROM.[*]When you've found an image you want to switch into another, double click on it. You'll notice it gives you some details below it. The size of the image this one replaces must be ess than or equal to the size stated in these details. [*]Now, when you want to replace that image into another, right click on the to be replaced image and click replace.
Otherwise, it just won't fit and will let you know. Note that you can replace any dimensioned size with another, even if hey are not the same dimension. Depending on the image, it will either be stretched in the game, cut down, or show twice. [*]When you've made all of the changes desired, go to File -> Save and save the ROM somewhere. [*]One final option is "Force size". If the replacing image is too large, you can try checking the check box and forcing an amount that will work. Be careful, this won't work half the time and your ROM will crash when it tries to load the texture. Also, if you are replacing the next image in memory, you can't go past its start.

There's plenty to modify, so you can make quite a bit of changes before save the new ROM. The new ROM usually will replace your texture successfully. Occasionally, the reported size is incorrect (very infrequent). If so, you can try forcing larger or smaller values so it does not crash.
