i was wondering if there was a program that would allow me to edit the memory in pj64 or a search for codes option at least because im getting tired of my n64 the graphics look like crap compared to the directx enhancments of emulation

Two options:

1) Download Nemu64

2) Use renegaede64, I'll get a link to it, however you could probably just google it.

I'm sure the Project64 team would've announced it by now... maybe you could hack?

BTW, does anyone know if Nemu64 is any good?

It's good if you want a memory modifier like the n64 gameshark. Project64 doesn't come with one. It's only better for da hackerz like myself. Otherwise its outdated compared to project 64.

PJ64, is really a good tool to use, but Nemu64 is also good aswell, but glitches up in times.

Various leaked versions of the PJ64 1.7 beta indicate that 1.7 will have a memory editor. Said beta leaks also have other debugging options (like breakpoints), but most of those don't work, and I get the feeling it'll be a while before they're going to work. I e-mailed zilmar about the status of the 1.7's debugging options, and he said that code search options were higher on his priority list than breakpoints, etc.

If you have the right plugins, Nemu runs most games fairly well and has great debugging options, but Project64 has much better compatibility and generally has far fewer issues with certain games than Nemu does. Which is basically what runehero said.

Yes, I remember reading something on the Project 64 site about some new debugging features in 1.7. I think I even posted it here a while back. Back then, I knew nothing about hacking, and it was a quite poorly-written post.:D

And in my opinion, Renegade 64 is one of the best things to use for hacking. There was also the debug version of PJ64 1.6 that had a couple useful features. Subdrag posted the link to it in the first Hacking lesson topic, but that's long gone. I've searched for it with no good results.

I spy, with my little eye, an archive attached to my post. ;)

No problem. I knew keeping a copy of that would come in handy someday. :)
