Since we all know now that Pokemon is now online and you can battle people. How about the greatest multiplayer game around (halo2-3 doesn't count and neither does WoW.)? Has there been any news on the subject of Brawls online features?

They said that the reason the game was delayed in the first place was so they could bring it online, but they never mentioned if they actually did.

Why would they delay it to add something, then not come through with it? I think is SSBB had no online, Nintendo fans would boycott Nintendo...

It's like saying you're going to delay teh release of ice cream for a new flavor, then don't even bring out the new flavor. What was the point of delaying it then?!

-prays to the Nintendo gods that they pull through with internet for once-

I have my doubts about Brawl being online this late in the game. But maybe Nintendo will surprise us all.

Nintendo better add online play to Brawl. That would be one of its greatest features! I'll snatch up the game immediately if it has it.

Of course it'll have online play. It's the biggest game of the year.

Online + an already popular franchise = Nintendo FTW!

Well, Nintendo already won in the console wars, but you get what i mean. :p

Oh! Idea! If they enable Brawl to be online, we could organize a day to have a SSBB tourney for the forums!

Recently, japanese retailers were listing the game as being online. They usually know their stuff. So I take that as a pretty good sign.

Yes, it will it be online, sakurai and Iwata have refered to it several time now, gameinformer and EGM confirm this in their magazines, Sakurai also revealed that it was one of the reason why they actually summoned him up for brawl, it order to make a wii multiplayer game out of one of their best series.

I have a strong urge to say "I love you", but won't. :p

Well, that makes YET ANOTHER game to add to my "October Games" list, along with Half-Life 2: Ep. 2, Portal, Guitar Hero 3, Super Mario Galaxy (I think, don't quote me on that one), and now, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I'm hoping online support for the game will be free though?

OF cource it will! All of the wii's online funtionality is entirly free, and won't be charged for utilizing the online feature, if they made mario strikers a great online game success, Nintendo would just be STUPID if they didn't, it would be as enjoyable as other multiplayer games like Halo 2 or Gears of War

I really should be... Heck that might even be the final update Sakurai would post before it's released. That would be epic!

That would be Epic, The final post is either going to be Online feature or Sonic

one of the two. (grabs the hyrule shield to defend against Sonic haters)
