I've always felt let the game be done when it's done. All of Rare's best games were delayed, so in reality, even though I'm not really a Conker fan, it's probably a good thing.

Yeah. Well I imagine the delays are for the Live aspect of the game, making it as perfect as possible for launch, which is always good ;)

Anyway, I heard about this a while back on the DK Vine/DK Universe forums, courtesy of Xmooth/Alberto from Mundo Rare. Depressing news, yes, but it gives me more time to play Halo 2 before I switch over to Conker. ;) My post read as thus:

"Personally, I think they're delaying the game so that they can take care of as many Live issues as possible. Testing, streamlining code, more testing, etc. Of course, they're probably on an extra-special lookout for exploits/cheats/glitches and taking care of those as well, especially after what's happened with Halo 2 (grabbing flags/the Oddball through solid geometry, the "dummy" glitch, modem/router standby/suspension, etc.)."

So I guess Gold and I had the same guess as to why they're delaying it.

Yeah, I look forward to this game too... I'm just hoping the controls are 100x better and faster because he moved annoyingly slow in the first one.

BTW: I think Xenon is the best console name ever. Although I'm not a fan of MicroSoft, I love that title... regardless of how cheap using the X twice is.

I don't know if he moves any faster or slower. I didn't notice any difference playing the Conker demo other than the massive aesthetic changes. Conker might have been more sensitive to the thumbstick, but I think that's about it.

I still stand by that :p. Most of Rare's games move too slow for me... its not because I need gripping-edge speed... in fact at close range and during certain obstacles the speed is great... but for the most part it ends up taking you SEVEN HUNDRED HOURS to cross a field with NOTHING IN IT just because Conker only runs 1 frame for every 10 frames in the game.

Running away from Zombies was ridiculous. It was like clicking the slow motion button on a Night of the Living Dead movie...

Well if you think using the X is cheap, then the now more likely "Xbox 360" name probably won't impress you :)

I don't get the "360" part. It's divisible by 8, so perhaps they mean it as 360 bits. I dunno. Who wants cake?

That sounds likely, or it could mean 360 degrees... as in Xbox Turn-around.... I like that name.

Or, the most common possibility, it'll be a sphere. Which would suck, because there is already a Game-Cube... a Game-Sphere would be overdoing it.
