I was just wondering why there isnt any content for Conkers bad fur day on the main page. Theres bound to be some beta, gameshark codes, or something worth putting on the site.

To tell you the truth, I don't like the game much. Another factor is that Conker's RAM goes all over the place, it's very difficult to hack anything at all. It's worse than BT. That said, we hacked a few good codes, image mod and warp mod, though the image mod was only for grenades or something. Beta is a bit awkward for CBFD, because there is the ultra beta 12 tales. Haven't noticed much beta for CBFD itself, but I haven't looked.

Maybe one day we could give it another going over. Admittedly, the dynamic memory was a bit of a pain, add to the fact it uses TLB to access most of the memory and its not really that appealing. Sure, Banjo Tooie was a pain, but we developed some nice tools to hack it with, such are the relocatable patcher, but no other game makes me want to really put that much effort in.

TBH I never really played it through.I will when the Xbox one arrives.

I think it might be worth hacking the game to try and find the windmill level that was canned. After all, there are pictures of it in MMM of BK, and there could be some link. SNS anyone?

If I remember the windmill was from the Twelve Tales version though.

I think SubDrag is right, and the windmill was for Twelve Tales. Take a look at this video and it shows a bridge to an open doored windmill.

Twelve Tales (http://www.64dd.net/games/n64/unreleased/twelve_tales_conker_64/videos/conker_64.mpg)

(The video is hosted on 64dd.net)

Hmm that stinks. Maybe there's still an outside chance of the windmill being hidden away since BK made a reference to it? Maybe that's the level SNS unlocks? Oh well, we'll never know for sure until the game is hacked, and I guess it's a really hard one to hack.

The windmill is still in the game. It's on top of a spiral mountain in the beginning of the game. Though it is strange that it's shaped like spiral mountain.

Hmmm maybe there is a connection afterall. Wait yeah I remember the windmill. Aren't the giant haystacks on the inside? Might be worth checking out to look for clues since MMM has a pic of the windmill.

If you moon jump up to the top there are some entrances but you can't get in, very mysterious.

Try it, and see if you can still say that as easily. Last time I tried to hack CBFD I had to go through 5 pointers to get to one code, and next time I loaded the level, they'd all changed. It's a complete nightmare; I applaud those who've managed to find anything at all in it...

wow, that twelve tales video is really interesting. Anyways, i guess this will be quite a challenge for anyone trying to hack this.

odd thing... there's a pic of Conker: live and reloaded that show him up in the top of the windmill... but as you have just said, there's no way to get there without moonjump...
erm... anyway, rare must be joking with us again, I read on an interview with a developer, when they asked him if they would include a new chapter, he said there wa going to be a "chapter X", but it's just the multiplayer mode from the n64 version...
crap! the only good reason for me to buy that game now is gone... uh, I wasn't going to buy it anyway :D
Conker is crap... ignore the graphics and all you have is a bunch of simple minigames... the only stage that I liked were the shooting stages (the war chapter, the heist, et cetera)... but even those aren't that great... AND WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ENDING??? it just killed all the comedy of the game.
That's stupid...

And Ice Mario already hacked the game to try to discover any secret area that got removed... and he found nothing...

here's the link: http://www.gscentral.com/codes.pl?dev=gs&sys=n64&game=conkerbfd

Look at the level modifiers one.
There are some interesting codes, its worth checking it out...

the interview: http://www.rare-extreme.com/?section=conkerreload&page=conkerinterview.html

By the way, the new version of project64 (ver 1.06) emulates that game almost perfectly... have you upgraded yet? ;)

very interesting video, indeed... does anyone knows another site with more info about twelve tales?

EDIT: just saw your name on the bottom of the page, Ice Mario. Ur The Man! And everyone else who have hacked that game, of course

Yep, us. Although what we found seemed to be the highest level possibly. Might be worth trying a lower level approach, like the testmap (http://www.rarewitchproject.com/specials.php?id=bktestmap) we found for BK,

CBFD is a great game. And the windmill? You do go in it, just before the Matrix section you go down inside the windmill and you come out next to the bank for the matrix section. You can use the character modifier to fly around as a bat and fly over that broken bridge in pooland where you can see the bank. Fly over to the bank and go into the tunnel that you normally take out of the windmill and you will come out in the later version of the windmill where it's all broken even though you're still in an earlier point in the game. It's cool.

If you do that then the door to the war level also starts to rise into the air indefinitely, quite strange. I've done this several times, it's quite fun ;)

Conker rocks!!! They are NOT minigames. They are a deep, involving story. :D The ending is sad, but true. We don't realize what we have until it's gone. (we had a great SNS mystery, but we hacked it and got all of the secret items. Now it's gone. All gone.)

The ending IS sad isn't it. I remember playing and finishing it on the N64 and I thought 'Poor Conker' and I actually felt sad for him.

Also I'll probably pick up the Conker game for Xbox when it comes out all though I'll be missing half the fun with no XBL :(

Depending where you are, tomorrow is only the ship date.

Anyway, yes... I pre-ordered, and I'm going to have it on the 22nd. I've been thinking about it insanely all month -- can't bloody wait

It's not our fault it got canned, you know... maybe some nintendo engineer who changed the console chip and stuff...

I never understand why they choose that ending... and the last boss is boring... at least that robotic voice was cool... "Throw the alien OUT and SHUT THE BLOODY DOOR!" :D haha... hu, well...
Anyway, anyone here played the online conker? Is it good?
