It's believe that two photos of the XBox 360 have been leaked, and if these are truly resembling the final design, then I'm about split 50/50.

On the plus side, the unit looks nice and small, and very slick. However, I notice slots for memory cards, which I don't much care for. I rather liked the idea of the XBox having a hard drive -- eliminated a lot of problems, albeit as PC-like as it was.

My only other real problem is the white color scheme, but that's hardly anything to fuss over :p

I think for me it's still too early to tell how I feel about it. Doesn't look too bad and the memory card thing doesn't bother me, obviuosly I'd rather not pay for a memory card but if I have to then I have to.

When is it being released?

In America, later this year.

Going by this, we can percieve that it will launch in Europe around 2008.

Ourcolony, the place where the images were posted, is Microsoft's way of promoting the Xbox 360. They did something similar with Halo 2 and ilovebees.com. So the images weren't really leaked. They were officially distrubted by Microsoft.

Anyway, the Xbox 360 will come in 3 versions. One with a harddrive, one without, and one that is a full PC also.

Look at the black oval on the left. It reads "40GB," so obviously there is still a hard drive. Memory cards are just optional.

I got the same shot in my gamespot Xbox newsletter yesterday. Yep this is the 360. It will undoubtidly go through some minor changes before launch but expect it to look pretty much like this.

I've been impressed by it so far. If I didn't expect a bunch of lousy games to come out for it, I would buy one.

I'm actually more impressed with Xbox 360's features than it's games. It's wide in it's range of abilities. But I'm more seated to believe that Microsoft's trying to have more of a living room revolution than a gaming one; more so focusing on changing home media rather than innovate their games.
