Over at HackMii (http://www.hackmii.com), Bushing (a member of Team Twiizers, the guys behind the Twilight Hack) showed a video of the in-development Homebrew Channel! You can watch it there, or on the actual YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=op1V5eWpTQQ&eurl=http://hackmii.com/2008/05/homebrew-channel-video/).
They don't have the main animation done yet, but it will look something like this (http://wiibrew.org/images/1/10/Soully.png), but animated of course. As you can see in the video, it has a very nice Wii-style interface. You can have custom icons for each of your homebrew applications in .png format and descriptions in xml format. In the video, you can see that a GameCube controller is used, but they're working on Wii-Remote support.
Also, this uses a signing bug that may be fixed soon....
There was an update a while ago (Nintendo didn't notify anyone, though) that installs something called IOS 37 onto the Wii. It needs a real firmware update to be activated, but when it IS activated, channels like this one that use the bug won't run. We'll just have to see what happens....
In case you didn't notice, there are some unreleased homebrew programs shown in the video! There's Wii64, a Nintendo 64 emulator that's currently only out for GameCube, PatchMii, which "allows you to install some third-party modifications to tweak the operation of the Wii", and WiiMiidia, a media center! Man, I can't wait; there's so much to look forward to!
