For all of you who might have been wondering what I was cooking up, I have been making an overhaul to an RPG type that has not seen the light of day in these forums for a very very long time.

In the footsteps of "Treasurequest: Totally Irreverent Game"

The one... the only... Treasurequest 2: More Carnage.

Sneak Preview -

Your character has been sucked into a world to be at the whim of a group of timeless elders who want to see the combat and puzzle solving skills of those from the third dimension. The elders have set you in a limited playing field consisting of meadows and castles, mostly medieval stuff. You are tasked with finding a single item that will allow you to return to your dimension as whatever you wish at whatever place and time that you yearn to be. The problem is that there are many competitors and only one item. The Elders also have banned outright fighting between players because they wish to test the intelligence and wit of the ones they have chosen. The only way of stopping another player is to betray(lead them into a monster's lair and run), trap, or rob them.

Various items and hirelings are spread about the area to aid players as they battle the countless amounts of enemies that the Elders have placed.

Gameplay style preview-

Unlike many of the rpgs in the creative cavern, this one is heavily stat-based and modeled after the munchkin series by Steve Jackson.

We will have:

Statistics, health, levels, damages, bonus items, and tons of other crap.

Rules preview:

This game WILL REQUIRE HONEST PLAYERS: so that I don't have to check every post before gameplay moves on and grade every dodge and move and save, all players will obtain a dice rolling program or use a real 20 sided dice and YOU will roll for yourself AND the enemy. Be advised that if you always win and I see a large portion of imbalance I will not hesistate to have the elders own you like a cross-eyed stepchild.

-----------------------

Final Words:

The whole point of this game will be to have as much outlandish and spammy fun as possible while staying within the limits of the dice rolls and statistics. Your chance for the elders to generate magic items for you (your magic find ability) will be directly linked to how entertaining and fair the other players think you are in OOC.

Sounds fun. Having us outsmart our foes is a cool idea. :) I'll get so owned but i'll give it my best when the time comes.
