What do I do to install it onto my emulator? I use Project 64, and I have no idea what 'simply use the IPS patch to permanently add the level to ROM' means.

I really want to try this level out, and any help would be greatly appreceated.

You want to get a standard GE ROM uncompressed, apply an IPS patch included (the NTSC one if you have NTSC ROM). To look for an ips patcher, try google or yahoo. I used Ouija I think.

Alright, I have a problem. When I try to start the Goldeneye ROM, a dialog box appears and says that the emulation is in a permanent loop (it's never done this before). I used IPSEXE, and I installed both patches (the PAL.IPS first).

Someone help?

You just need the one patch applied (PAL or NTSC depending on what ROM you are using).

EDIT; I just applied the correct path to mine and I got the same error. So I need help as well

if you applied both patches all heck should break loose. I know it works on a good clean NTSC ROM using NTSC patch, haven't tested PAL myself but assume it works. Try again on a clean ROM.

PAL patch was tested to work, but I've heard some nasty stuff about certain emulators.

From that error though I'd say either the thing isn't byteswapped or the rom is a different version that the one I've tested. Can't really say without actually seeing it though.

I usually got that error when the checksum didn't agree, so I am going to go out on a limb and say something failed in the ips patching (and patching with both NTSC and PAL will kill it)
