Once you register it you can turn the parental controls off.

Not for mature content. It goes by the age you entered.

until ur 18, you can't download any mature or unrated content. Just the other day, i (16 years old) couldn't download the gears rezvendous trailer, OR the bk:NB e3 trailer because it didn't have a rating yet. No matter what, i can't find any way to fix this. ...:(

And remember, you can't download free stuff thats M or not rated yet. If it costs money, you can get it, like the Oblivion shivering Isles or any map packs. So yes, anyone who pays can get the GTA content (if it ever comes out:))

I accidentally did the same thing myself yesterday, for some reason when I was 11 I must've entered my real date of birth for my email. But anyway my brother just entered his details for the other bit then turned off every restriction so it's exactly the same as it would be otherwise. I can download any M rated demo or movie or anything, it all works fine.

I'd still like to find a way to remove his details though, so I could control everything in my account myself. Haven't figured out how to do this yet, apparently changing your date of birth doesn't work. I'm not going to just deleting my account and trying again either because somehow I started my free trial month of Live Gold, with no games to use it on, how fun!

haha i typed this exact thing in another thread with the same problem...

ok this is how you do it. make ur account with your proper age and get your parents to enter their email and everything and then...

1. Go to Xbox.com and sign in on your Xbox live account on there and go to it.
2. Click on manage profile.
3. Click on Family Settings and get one of your parents to enter their email address and password.

The next page that comes up allows you to pick what your child is allowed to do on Xbox Live. I had to get my parents to do this as well
