I finally got to see that movie. My GOD that was a great movie. I'm surprised it didn't win any Oscars (don't worry, that was sarcasm).

It really was elegantly written though. The characters were deep, they all had an interesting premise, and it was fun to watch all their downward spirals. The ending was plain amazing, though.

If there was a Movie of the Decade it could probably have a good chance at it. When I watched it, I got the same feeling I got from Citizen Kane. A movie of epicness.

Has anyone else seen it? What did you think of Daniel? Like or het him?

I've seen it a couple days ago actually. I was bored by it during the first hour but things picked up during the second hour... all in all it was creepy but amazing to watch Daniel's spiral into madness. I also agree that the ending was amazing.

The thing I liked most about the movie was the characters. That's what really moved it along. You know you're watching a great movie when the intense scenes come not from action, but from the characters. Like when Daniel first started beating on Eli or when Eli got his little "revenge" during the baptism scene. That scene was just crazy. I never thought I'd enjoy this movie at first but it really sucks you in.

It has great themes in it. A man on top of the world who lost everything because of his greed and anger, someone who would abandon their faith for even the tiniest promise of money. When Eli gave into Daniel's demands (at the end) and then Daniel revealed that he already owned the land Eli wanted, I was utterly stunned.

This movie was about the characters and it was amazing. I watched No Country for Old Men the same day but I think I like There Will be Blood better.

I've seen it like 3 or 4 times (I own the two-disc edition :)), and I love it. All around great movie. Personally, I think it should've won Best Picture instead of NCFOM.
