I've actually always wanted to do that, but I don't think I like how it would affect my family. Plus, it's probably not as easy as it sounds.

Deku, but if games has tought us anything, it's that 10 year olds are perfectly capable of going out on an epic adventure and fighting demons and Pokemon and stuff without any problems whatsoever.

If you get some psychic powers, a red baseball cap, and a bat you could go on one heck of an adventure.

I want an adventure to come to me.
Seriously though, my life is so insignificant, if I ever saw, say a funny blue box, I would run towards it and not look back.

Any set equipment of some sort? A weapon for hunting or anything? I'm lost at what an adventure would be at the present time. I really wish I could adventure like the old days and get money for bounty hunting. Things like that don't happen anymore.
If we're thinking Huckleberry Finn or Tom Sawyer, then it's almost impossible. Of course, you could always go for the plain roadtrip and try to use part-time job to pay for gas as you live in your vehicle. Travel the world by car I guess. Though the best option would be stay with whatever society does and earn yourself a reasonable paying job. Save some money and then go off traveling on your own. Doesn't matter if you walk, drive or bus. If you want to survive some wilderness, then go to Alaska and try building your own cabin and hunting.
An adventure to me would be going into a huge cave and exploring it. Some of these in the area are like mazes and you could die without any food there. It also requires equipment for those nasty drops that could extend for a few fifty feet.

Yes, I finally admit it. I have a penchant for small red ribbons in my hair. Don't you dare judge me.
