Database: A Forum Fiction

I decided to start my own forum fic! Huzzah! On with the show! *curtains pull back*

Chapter 1: The Infiltration

It is the year 2030. The Goverment is sucking energy out of the Earth's core to power all electrical devices. This is causing the Earth to slowly die. 21- year old Gray is the leader of DATABASE, a group of rebels that are against the Goverment. They are currently outside the Goverment's Headquarters, trying to find a way inside...

Gray: After hours of searching, we've found a hole in the Goverment's security system. If we fill that hole with our own data, we can shut down all alarms. How's it coming along, Redd?

Redd: I've written an escape code, I just need to write one more line of code to execute it....

*beep*

Redd: Okay, we're good.

Gray: Lets move in, everybody. Me and Redd will take the stairs, and Samantha and Dan will take out all of the guards in the hall, so that the rest of you can go in safely. Okay, gang, let's move out.

*DATABASE enters the building.*

Gray: Only ten more flights of stairs to go.

Redd: Phew! I'm tired.

Gray: Well, maybe if you didn't carry a desktop computer with you all the time...

Redd: Oh, shut up!

Gray: Okay, whatever. And keep your voice down, we're almost to the central control room.

*Gray and Redd enter the Central Control Room*

Gray: Okay, now plug your computer into the main computer.

Redd: Got it.

*Redd plugs his computer into the main computer*

Redd: Hold on a second.

*click click click click click*

*BEEP*

Main Computer: Earth Core Energy Project aborted.

Gray: Good job, Redd.

*door opens*

???: What are you doing in here?!?

Gray: Aw, crap.

*Dan and Samantha are walking in the halls, taking care to step on the corpses of the guards that they killed*

Dan: COAST IS CLEAR, GUYS!!!!!!!

*The other ten members of DATABASE come running in*

Katana: How long did it take you to kill all of these guys?

Samantha: How long did you wait?

Katana: Touche.

*After a couple minutes of walking, DATABASE comes to a hallway that is filled with guards*

Katana: Are we going to be waiting for a while?

Samantha: Yup.

yes. one suggestion though? i would make each Chapter longer.... the size of my fan-fic's chapters are normal size. .... just make 'em longer :p

Woah, I read the first line and thought I was a character in the story :p. Then I saw Redd and realized oh ok its a gimmick.

Nice story, though the chapters seem a tad short like DevilBottles mentioned. Maybe I just want more though :).

Chapter 4: Fight the Power!

* A man with grey hair, black eyes, and a skinny sword came towards Gray and Redd. It was Steel, the head of the Goverment.*

Steel: Gray and Redd, eh? I can see that you're in DATABASE. I can't say that I expected much, though.

* Before Gray can stop him, Redd runs up to Steel and bashes him in the head with his computer. Steel falls to the ground, unconcious.*

Redd: Would anybody care to apologize about an earlier comment about ones computer?

Gray: Not a chance. Let's go see how Dan and Samantha are doing.

Meanwhile, Dan and Samantha are locked in furious combat.

Dan: There's too many of 'em!

*Katana comes running in*

Dan: What're you doin' here?!?

Katana: I came to help you.

Dan: You're just gonna get in the way!

*Katana points to the hallway behind him, which is littered with bodies.*

Katana: You were saying?

Dan: Nuttin'.

* A man dressed in black jumps in front of Dan and deflects a bullet that was heading in their direction.*

Dan: Who the heck are you?!?

???: Ahdsgfhjsadfdshffgsdhfdfhjsgfjsgjds

*The man disappears*

Dan: What the f-

BOOM!!!!!

Chapter 5: Dan's Awakening

* Dan stood up and rubbed his head* Dan: Ugh, wha happen?

*He looked around, and saw that all members of DATABASE were unconcious. Gray and Redd came running in.*

Gray: What happened here?!?

Dan: I dunno. There was a flash, and... I just don't know.

Gray: Well, we better get outta here. Steel could wake up at any moment. Just load the other members into the van.

* Five hours later, the DATABASE van is on the road. All of the other members are concious, and Dan is reading a newspaper.*

Dan: Hey, Gray, take a look at this.

Gray: Let me see.

Are You Safe?

It appears that The Energy Plant suffered an energy leak today. The energy has been mutating other creatures, turning them into monsters. Lock all of your doors, hide all pets and children, and have a weapon nearby. We'll give you an update later.

Gray: Wow....

Redd: Monsters, huh?

Samantha: Sounds like a load of bull to me.

Katana: Same here.

Golde: Well, you never know.

Gray: Golde's right. We should stay on our toes.

Redd: What weapons do we have?

Gray: A computer, and gun, a sword, and bronze knuckles.

Redd: Anything else?

Gray: Nope.

Redd: Well, I suppose we could...

SCREECH!!!

* All members of database fall to the floor.*

Redd: What was that?

* Gray looked out the window.*

Gray: That would be a monster.

Chapter 6: The Battle


*Gray stepped out of the van, and wiped the rain out of his hair. He looked to his left, and saw a huge dragon with tentacles on his back.*

Gray: Uh....um.....Golde?

*Golde steps out of the van* Golde: Yup?

Gray: Y...y...you were right.

Golde: What're you talking about?

*Gray points at the dragon.*

Golde: Oh.....crap.

Dan: What's goin on out he...HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*The dragon swipes at Gray with one of his claws.*

Gray: We're gonna need a bigger van.

Golde: That line stinks.

Gray: I know. *runs into van.*

Golde: What are you...

* A rocket launcher pops out of the back of the van.*

Glode:...doing?

Dan: I didn't know the van could do THAT .

Gray:*leans out of one of the van's windows.* It cost five hundred dollars extra.

Dan: What can't money buy?

Chapter 7: The Man In Black

Gray: Comense launch of rockets in five...four...three...two...o-

POOF!

Gray: What the...?*Looks in front of him, and sees a man dressed intirely in black, just like the man Dan saw earlier.* Who're you?!?

???: *Struggling to speak english* Rokutz...bawd...doun't...shoout.

Gray: Rockets...bad?

???: *excitedly* Yaws! Yaws! Bawd.

Gray: Well... if we don't shoot him, we're all gonna die.

???: Diae?

Gray: Uh... yeah. You know, die? Death? That's bad.

???: Diae bawd?

Gray: Yep.

???: I tawk toe mownsture. *runs out of van*

Samantha: What the heck...

Gray: Looks out window*

*The man walked up to the monster. He placed his hand on the monster's head, and closed his eyes. The monster blinked his eyes, and flew off.*

Samantha: Did you see that?!?

Gray: Yeah... who is that guy?!?!?

*In a hidden kingdom located in the center of the earth, a woman walks up to a crystal and looks into it.*

???: I hope that DATABASE hurries... our kingdom is dying.

POOF!

Man in Black: Halloe.

???: Hello. How's DATABASE coming along? Our kingdom can't lose much more energy before..... um.... how are they doing?

Man in Black: Dawtaboss half bawd luuk. I half too saff theem frume mownsture.

???: Monster? Up there?

Man in Black: Yaws.

???: Did you...?

Man in Black: Yaws. *he sets down a small crystal on the floor. A picture of the dragon is projected from it.*

???: This isn't good.... not good at all. *she runs back to the crystal and looks into it.* Let's see how they're doing...

Meanwhile, on the surface of the earth...

Gray: What do you mean we have a flat tire?!?

Dan: That dragon musta pierced it!

Gray: Do we have a spare?

Samantha: Er...no.

Gray: This is great. Just great.

Katana: Where can we get another tire?

Golde: *pulls out a map* The nearest town is 10 miles away.

Grean: *hops out of van*10 miles?!?

Gray: *sighs* We might as well start walking.

Meanwhile, in another galaxy...

???: Grawhahaha! Those humans don't stand a chance! Now that I've got most of the earth's energy, I will rule supreme. Just to be on the safeside, I better make a suprise for DATABASE.

KERZAP!!!

Back on earth...

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE

Gray: Oh boy...

Wait...

Gray: Who said that?!?

It is I, princess Corea, from the kingdom of Gonasia. We're located in the earth's core, and we're losing our energy. We need you and the rest of DATABASE to come to our kingdom.

Gray: Wait a sec...

*In the Galaxy of Darkness, Orcal, the teenage oracle, appeared.*

Orcal: Yo! Lord Zachin!

*Cruncha, a man made of stone, appeared.*

Cruncha: HEY!

Orcal: I was here first.

Cruncha: My information is more important than yours.

Orcal: *pfft* Yeah, right.

Cruncha: I will never understand why a stupid girl like you was allowed to join.

Orcal: STUPID GIRL?!? You're made out of stone! What kind of man are you, anyways? You don't even have a...

Lord Zachin: I'm surrounded by idiots...

Meanwhile, on the other side of the plot...

Gray:*Wakes up and rubs head* Ugh, what happened?

*He stopped talking and stared. He was laying in a bright green field, with trees all around him. Through the spaces of the trees, he could see an ocean.*

Gray: Where am I?

Redd: Yo, Gray! You're finally up!

Gray: Where are we?

Redd: Remember? Gonasia.

Gray: Where's Princess Corea?

Redd: Follow me. Her castle's to the nor-

POOF!
POOF!

Orcal: That's them, all right.

Cruncha: I picked this spot.

Orcal: You guessed!

Cruncha: Yeah, but still.

Gray: This just isn't my day.

Redd: Ditto.

Gray: These guys don't seem like much of a threat, let's go.

Cruncha: Who needs a gun! I can beat them to death with my fists of...

Orcal: Look around idiot.

Cruncha: *Looks around* What?

Orcal: They're gone, duh!

Cruncha: Lord Zachin won't be too happy about this.

Orcal: Yup. YOU'RE really going to get it.

Cruncha: ME?!?!?!? Whay I outta...

Meanwhile, Gray and Redd are running to the castle.

Gray: Who were those guys?!?

Redd: I dunno, monsters?

Gray: Well, they're not very good ones.

Redd: *Laughs* Yeah...

Gray: Let's keep going, I can see the castle in the distan-

ZING!!!

*Gray clutched his neck and fell to the ground. Redd ran up to him and saw a dart in his neck.*

Redd: Who the heck shot th-

ZING!!!

*Redd fell to the ground.*

Redd: *Weakly* Whoever they are...*cough* ... they mean business. *Passes out.*

Chapter 10: Where Are We?

*Gray stood up and rubbed his head. He was standing in a small hut. He looked to his right and saw Redd in the corner, still unconscious.*

Gray: Ugh.....I feel terrible. Where the heck am I?

*He looked around and saw a door-shaped opening.*

Gray: Wonder what that goes.

*He stepped outside and saw that he was in a small village. People with blue skin who were wearing nothing but loincloths were walking by. Occaisionally, some would give him and odd look, and mutter in a launguage that Gray didn't understand.*

Gray: Erm...hi.

Villager: Inka klokk cho?

Gray: Uh...what?

*The vllager waved his hand in the air and walked on.*

Gray: I gotta wake Redd up.*

*He ran back into the hut and started shaking Redd.*

Gray: Redd! Redd! Wake up!

Redd: Ugh......uh....what?

Gray: C'mon, you gotta see this.

*He took him outside. Redd stared for a couple of seconds.*

Gray: I can't understand their language. Can you translate it?

Redd: *Turns his computer on.* Sure. What's the phrase?

Gray: Inka klokk cho?

Redd: *Types for a couple of seconds.*

Computer: Translation: *I cannot understand your accent.*

Gray: I guess they don't speak english.

Redd: I've heard of this language before. I was supposedly used by a tribe that used to live hundreds of years ago.

Gray: Wait. If they lived hundreds of years ago...

Redd: Welcome to 1130.

Meanwhile, back in Gonasia...

Samantha: I wonder where Gray and Redd are...

Dan: Maybe we should go out and look for them.

Princess Corea: Good idea. I'll have the guards open the gate.

Dan: C'mon, let's go!

Outside the castle...

Samantha: I think that they were near that big oak tree.

Dan: Wait a second. Who're those guys?

*Dan pointed at two men. One was dressed in plastic armor, and the other wore a wizard hat.*

Samantha: Hey, you!!!!

"Knight": Yes?

Samantha: Have see a guy with grey hair and a guy with red hair lately?

"Knight": Perhaps we can assist you, if you can prove to be valuable party members.

"Wizard": We need a level ten goblin, and a level twenty orc.

Dan: What?

"Knight": We're LARPers, you know, live action roll players?

Samantha: Wait, we just want to know if you've see-

"Wizard": I just taught you firestrike!!!!!

Dan: That's it.*Loads gun*

"Wizard": Stay back, I have thunder storm, plus twenty!!!

Samantha: Five...four...three....two...

"Kinght": RUN!!!!!!!!!!!

*Samantha and Dan start chasing after the LARPers.*

Chapter 12: Eh wot?


Gray: So we're in the year 1030?

Redd: I think so.

*A man walked by with the same hairstyle as Gray. On his shoulder, he had the Gray family birthmark- a small moon.*

Gray: Oh.......my...........god.

Redd: What?

Gray: *Pulls up his sleeve and points at man.*

Redd: Wow........

Gray: Does this mean...

Redd: Yep. He's your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather.

Gray: Can your computer translate english into their language?

Redd: Uh-huh.

Gray: Let's go talk to him.

Meanwhile, in the galaxy of darkness...

Lord Zachin: You WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

Cruncha: I.....I.....I forgot the ammo.

Lord Zachin: You IDIOT!!!!!!!! Whay did I let you join forces with me?!?!?!?!?!?

Cruncha: Because nobody else other than Orcal would join.

Orcal: I would've remembred the ammo, though.

Cruncha: Would you shut up about the ammo! It was a mistake!

Orcal: A really STUPID one.

Cruncha: Watch your mouth!

Orcal: You wanna piece of me?!?!?!?!?!

Cruncha: No. I WANT THE WHOLE THING!!!!!!!!!!

BAM!!!!!!!!!

Lord Zachin: I could've gone to college, but NO. I wanted to be an overlord.

Will Gray find out more about this man? Will Dan and Samantha find Gray and Redd? Why am I asking YOU these things?!?

Yippee! Somebody cares! Okay then. Another chapter! Note: I'm going to start writing Database a little bit more like a novel.

Chapter 13: Hmm...

Deep in the mind of a tortured soul, a man dressed entirely in gray walks into a small town. The wind blowing across his face slightly helps stop the tears streaming down his cheeks.. He follows the cobblestone path through the mist and comes to a house that looked more like a shed than anything else. He kicked on the door with his foot, afraid that he might get splinters in his hand if he knocked with it. Inside, he hears shuffling. After a couple of minutes, the door opens, and a man dressed entirely in red walks out.

Man in Red: You? Is that really you?

Man in Gray: Yes. It's been a long time, hasn't it?

The man dressed in red laughed slightly, but not enough to wipe the expression of shock off of his face.

Man in Red: If you call ten years a long time.

Man in Gray: Yeah...

The man dressed in gray stared out into the mist.

Man in Gray: It's happening again.

Man in Red: You mean...

Man in Gray: Yes.

Man in Red: But...but I can't help you...not after what happened last time...

Man in Gray: After travelling thousands of miles, I can't take no for an answer.

The man dressed in red stood there, his face blank. After several minutes, he finally spoke.

Man in Red: Okay.

Chapter 14: One last (short) chapter with no Gray or Redd

A thirteen year old boy named George put on his hat and shoes. Today, he was going to run away. He was going to set off on an adventure. He suck into his mom's room and left the note explaining what he had done. He gave her a light kiss on the forehead, grabbed his backpack, and walked out the front door. It was one in the morning, and everything was still covered in shadow. He squinted until he could see the road. He walked towards it, his feet slipping on the grass, which was covered in dew.

George: Okay...which road leads to town. I think it's east...so I'll go west.

He turned around and ran off in the opposite direction. The mist of his breath lingred in his face, and he had to stop every couple of minutes to catch his breath. He wiped the sweat off of his head.

George: Man...and I got a B in gym, too...

He ran onwards in to the night, not knowing what to expect. What lay ahead of him is something that he never could have imagined in his wildest dreams.

Whew, it's been a while! Sorry, been lazy. Here's another chapter!

Chapter 15: This is Odd...


Gray and Redd began to chase after the man. The man looked around, and spotted them. His eyes grew wide, and he began to run.

Gray: Wait! Don't run!

The man dashed into a small tent located in the center of the village.

Redd: Let's go in.

They walked into the tent, and saw that it was a small store. People were walking around and buying food and clothing. Gray noticed that instead of using coins and dollar bills, they used small black rocks.

Gray: Let's see...where did he run off to?

Redd walked off towards the piles of clothes that were for sale. He kicked the biggest pile. The man jumped out rubbing his shoulder.

Man: Eeekobeouane?!? Skiheehawna! Keek!

Gray: Redd, pull out your computer.

Redd: Err...

Gray: What?

Redd: I...I think I lost it.

Gray: YOU WHAT?!?
