I feel like starting a trend, so here it goes.

Note: Mod, sticky this please!!!

Rules:

At the beginning of each month, a thread like this will be started in the Creative Cavern, and the one for the previous month will be closed / locked.
Anyone who wishes to participate can show as many pictures as they want. However, they can only select two to be voted for in the contest.
At the end of the month, a poll will be created, and members will be able to vote for which picture they think is the best. The member who made the winning picture will get bragging rights, and possibly something else. NOTE: Since there is a 10 poll option limit, if more than 5 people show 2+ pictures, the number of pictures that a participant can put in the contest will go down to one.
YOU MUST MAKE THE PICTURE! You cannot take things off of the internet. If I can tell that you are taking someone else's work, you're out.
Pictures can be of anything from video games to fruit, and can be made with any known method, but they cannot be offensive in any way.
In the polls, do not vote for yourself - it can cause monotonous ties. We'll be able to see if you did or not.
Don't flame other people's work! You can make criticisms, to an extent, but don't flame.


Notes:

I get to host this game each month, unless I allow someone else to. Anyone can ask to anytime, but don't just start another thread on your own. If this gets popular enough ( :) ), I might request some partners.
Some months, I might decide to add a 'theme' for the Art Contest. (For example, December might have a 'Holiday Seasons' theme.) If I do that, you don't have to go along with the theme, but it will be encouraged.
For the sake of keeping threads like this alive, posting will be pretty freeform here. You are aloud to wander a little off topic... but that does not allow spam. You got it? You spam, you're fired.


So, now that the rules are out of the way, join in on the fun! Enter your work now, and try to win the contest! Also, post freely, but try to stay on the topic of art. Around the end of the month, you'll see a poll appear, where you can vote! If you want my advice: you have all month to make something reeeaaallly good. Spend some time working on it, and display it later.

Registration is free, and photobucket is really good. From there, just add your pictures to the sight, and give us a link to the picture. It is very easy.

Or, you can click the 'manage attachments' button while making a post. You have to scroll down - its a little hard to find, but from there, you can take a picture from your computer and give it to us.

When you say 'you must make the picture', does that disclude the option of hand-drawing other's work? In other words, looking at other pictures and drawing them by hand by looking at them (not tracing).

As long as you don't take someone else's picture and scan it, or steal one off of the net, it's okay. You can redraw things.

Updates!

1) I made a slight ammendment to the rules. You can now post more than 2 pictures, but you can only choose 2 to be entered in the actual contest. However, since there is a 10 poll option limit ( :mad: ), if there are more than 10 pictures added in this thread and people have 2+ pictures, the limit will be moved down to 1 to allow more pictures from other people.

I will make a thread in the suggestions forum requesting a larger number of poll vote options. Otherwise... only 10 people will be able to join the contest :( :( :( ! Support me in my thread, please!

2) Also, I ask that you give names to your pictures now. It'll help in several ways.

3) Finally, my first post has been edited so that everyone's pictures are listed in one chunk. That way, you can see everything for this month in one group. Hooray for organization!
