Change a letter game

This is a game I've played on forums before. Someone types a word, and the next person changes one letter of the word. But you have to change the word above to a real word.

Example:

I post the word: "Metal"
Then the person below would change a letter to make it another word, like "Medal"

I'll start off with the word "Board"
