DKR Wizpig Help

Hey,

I need help with beating Wizpig the first time. I don't know if there is a special character to use, certain glitches and what not. I just cannot beat him. Could you guys give me any tips?

That's the WORST tip I ever heard... seriously...

OK: My brother used the small yellow mouse (I think it was "tipsy" or something), and he had to pass through all the speed ups!

If you play as Tipsy (That's her name), and you do the green speed boost (you do this when you lat go of the A button on a speed strip), you can win. It's hard, but possible.

Acutally that's some of the best advice that can be given Minjo. If you continue to try something, eventually you'll succeed at it. Look at me, I used to suck at fighting games and now? I still suck but not as badly. :p Anyways Vegeto i'd reccomend Tipsy as she's the speediest character you have access to normally. Just ues the zippers and try to race him a few times until you memorize the course layout, that's how I did it. Just keep a cool head and you'll beat him in no time.

I've beaten Wiz Piggy so many times (also completed the game 100%, yes all of Adv. 2 mode - back when the game came out though) so i'll say what you need to do.

You need to as repobanjo said let go of the accelerater (A button) on a zipper booster, so that you get the better boost, but this trick gives you alot of power, so the course is quite tricky in some places with the extra speed.
There was one place where i'd just intentionally get a pink boost by holding the A over the zipper becasue the extra speed wasn't helpful, all the others were ok.
Also its quite normal for Wizpig to be winning the start of the race or him trying to bump you by coming from behind - if it happens near the water areas (and you get stuck bad) or you get hit into a tree, you are best starting the race again!
Try get into the lead around the second or 3rd lap.
Try to do the course without hitting anything other than zippers :)

Memorise the course first by going slowly around it, so your familier with it.
Then try going at it full speed and concentrating (not on beating wizpig), but getting all the zippers and staying on course.

R and B button will let you do hard left/right turns, and is sometimes usefull on this course, but this move does slow you down so use it as little as possible.

Last trick is that on straights with the Car as your vehicle you can repeatedly tap Acelerate (A button), and you stay at top speed.

With this info you should be able to beat the 1st wizpig with anyone, but i'd advise against using Krunch or Drumstick as they are fast, but handle quite bad and are slow getting away because of bad acceleration too, they're better on Plane courses from what i remember.

Sorry but i never had much of a problem with him or Adventure 2 the game was great though, if i were you i'd ether do what OmegaPirate said or go to Game Faqs and look it up there they would have a guide on how to beat him.
