Really, really creepy. But I look at it this way: like the Dreamcast, even if the 360 doesn't do well, I think I'll still like it. Something tells me I may not be alone in saying that, unless there are even more Microsoft haters out there than I previously thought.

Kind of makes you wonder if Microsoft looked at the DC before saying that a year's advantage can help a console sell better than its competitors.

Heh, I saw that. Very funny, yet true, stuff in that article. I miss my Dreamcast though...

The simmilarities are scary, yet the major differences are hillarious (Especially the one with Halo 3)

I don't think Xbox 360 will be another Dreamcast, but I guess only time will tell. Microsoft has so much money, however, I doubt it'll even matter if it fails. Although there seems to be a stronger pulling for Xbox 360 now than there was for the Dreamcast if I can recall.

I guess only time will tell. At least we can play Halo games on other systems if the 360 pulls a dreamcast.

No because the Dreamcast had some good games, Ho ho! [/too much time spent on IGN]

The 360 won't be another Dreamcast, Microsoft won't let it.

Yes, reason #10 for differences explains why the 360 won't go the way of the DC.

Though in my personal opinions, I believe that the XB360 deserves to go the way of the Dreamcast, it won't. No matter what, Microsoft will always buy it's way into our homes. With the essential monopoly they have on the computer market, it could be a complete flop, and they could still keep it afloat.

I can't stand what happened to the Dreamcast. It was a great system. I could get into a huge debate on why the dreamcast was such a great system, and why it deserved to beat out the PS2, and how it was statistacally better. But I won't.

This article missed an important reason why Dreamcast was a failure: Bootlegs (pirated games).
May sound exagerated, but it's true, I remember people who were just downloading the games thru IRC, burning it on a cd (the filesiezes weren't very big, about 600 meg each), making a lot of copies and selling it at very cheap prices, all that less a week before the game release... The pirating guys had the games days before the stores.
SEGA's security plan failed miserably. And that's surely not happening with Micro$oft.

Very nice article, though it was kinda "too much biased" for me to take it seriously...
There were times I thought I was reading an advertise... :p
