I agree. Don't get me wrong, I still love The Simpsons, but it's just not as funny as it used to be.

...You guys realize this is very old news, right? o-O Regardless, epic. If they don't have the original voice actors for Fry, Leela, and Bender, I may just cry though.

I always thought Matt's excuse that he "couldn't" do more than one show at a time was crap. Seth's got FG AND AD and he's going to do a third. Two is not only feasible, it HAS to be easier than three.

But there's a difference, Matt Groening is involved with both shows equally. Seth MacFarlane on the other hand is more involved with Family Guy than American Dad and is barely involved at all with the Cleveland Show apart form a couple of voice overs.

SPOILERS, FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN INTO THE WILD GREEN YONDER
I wonder what on earth they were thinking when they ended Into The Wild Green Yonder. I mean, that pretty much wrapped up the whole thing. Fry and Leela got together, they go through a wormhole to some undisclosed location, etc.
I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the new season. I mean, I'll be disappointed if they're not at Planet Express, and Fry and Leela are together and whatnot, but I'll be equally disappointed if they outright ignore the movie. It's the same thing with the last episode of the most recent season of The Big Bang Theory; Penny's expressed her love for Leonard, when the whole series and most of the comedy is derived from Leonard trying to get with her. If he's successful, which it looks like he will be, no more comedy.
As for them wrapping up the whole Futurama story in the end of Into The Wild Green Yonder... why? Why end it? Why not end The Simpsons, which - let's face it - nobody likes anymore. And now that Futurama's coming back, you have to either ignore the ending that's just been established or change the whole format of the show.

They had to, they didn't realise they were going to make more episodes when they made it, so they had to do a "final episode" for closures sake. The movies were a lot more popular then expected, so they brought it back because it'll make more money for them, regardless of plot or not.Besides the futurama guys are intelligent people, they'll find a way to turn it back to square one.

Only takes about a week maximum now.
Treehouse of Horror XIX took literally a week to get to us.
Soon Sky 1 are gonna overtake USA,and have, on US comedies.

There we go. Besides, there's nothing wrong with picking up the series with Fry and Leela together. That'd put Futurama a notch above all the other series that worship the status quo; this could be a great chance for them to branch out further into relationship comedy. And the new season could also pick up with them coming back to Planet Express after their adventure in another universe or something.
