Any bands you've gone and seen live? Were they any good?

One of the saddest things I hate admitting is I've never actually been to a proper concert, been to local gigs and that before and seen local bands but never been to a proper concert for well, a real band. Although saying that there's only about two or three bands I actually have any desire to see live, most of the others I'm not too bothered about really.

Local bands I've seen though some are alright but the gig itself was pretty sucky , ended up having an average night then.
For some reason I was planning for a while of going to Austria this summer for Oktoberfest with a group of friends but this died down when we realised we couldn't really be bothered to go all that way just for it :p

I also know a couple of people who had tickets to the Michael Jackson concerts at the 02 which was meant to start next week, but obviously they're not happening now.

So have you seen any bands live? Were they any better than anticipated or just generally good or what? :)

Yeah! Linkin Park, Greenday, 30 sec to Mars, Iron Maiden and much more. It's almost always better live.

I've been to see Alice Cooper and Moonsorrow, and I've been to a Bloodstock festival.

Muse, Blood Red Shoes and We Are Scientists. Also to a lesser extent, Cold War Kids, Peggy Sue & Pirates, The Little Ones, These New Puritans, Little Fish and Cut Off Your Hands.

I went to a Rush concert last summer. It was good, but kind of disappointing that most of the stuff they played was off Snakes and Arrows. I also went to a Steely Dan concert last year. It too was good, but I didn't know most of the songs they played. I'm going to see them in August again, but this time ticket holders got to vote on their playlist. Hopefully they will play most of the songs I picked.
