I have my Xbox360 for a month now, never had any problems with it, until now... . I was playing Perfect Dark Zero today, after some time I had enough of it and wanted to quit. So i press the X button (between back and start) on the controller so the Power off menu comes up (where you can choice between eather powering the console of or powering the controller of). I selected the power the xbox360 of option, and it just powered off. It didn't ask me to confirm like it allways did, it just powered of. Tried powering it back on, no luck, just gives me a black screen and there are 3 leds going on and off (hardware faillure message). After a lot of trying I menaged to boot my xbox360 once again, but after a couple of seconds the screen went white with black stripes on it. After this it was back to the black screen. :(
*Saw I posted this in the wrong section so deleted the old thread and put it here :)*

That's rough, man.
I guess the best you can do is return it to Microsoft to get it fixed (It's a quick process from what i hear.)
My 360 has been having problems lately, too. PD0 freezes when i try to go to the dashboard, and sometimes the Network Adapter doesn't turn on unless I replug it in. I'm thinking of either sending it in before my warranty is up to get all the kinks worked out, or spending $60 on the extended warranty... just incase I get assed out.

spending $60 on the extended warranty.
Definitely a good idea from what I've heard.

I should be getting my 360 within a week or so.... I REALLY hope something like this doesn't happen to me. :(

If Microsoft will replace it for free then there's not too much to worry about, I heard they even send you a box to ship it to them in.

Yep, they overnight it both ways as well. You'll get a replacement/fixed 360 in no time :)

o_0 I'll admit, they do sound quite prepared for malfunctioning 360's, don't they?

Well, yea. It's a 300-400 dollar system, and they want to make it seem backed-up.
