Hook your iPod up, sync if you haven't, then select your iPod to see the stats.

Or, if it's already synced, just go to Settings -> About on your iPod.

I'm extremely, extremely picky with my song choice. Plus, I don't have the money to buy them, or the effort to "legally download" mp3s of them, so I only get a few at a time.

The problem is, you don't get any ALBUMS, you just get single songs, which is one thing I hate. If I find a song I really like, I download the whole album its from. How do you expect to broaden your horizons by listening to one song each all the time?

Yep, pretty much. If I find a fantastic release, I'll go out and buy if after I've downloaded it, and I also contribute to them by seeing them live.

What?!? Stupid mainstream kids thinking musicians make tonnes of money. Popstars make a lot of money, but a lot of bands don't, and most of the music I listen to is from bands that don't make millions at all.

All jokes aside, here's my stats:

Music- 2919 artists, 3478 albums, 35438 songs, 117 days, 22 hours, eight minutes, 51 seconds, 178.58 GB

Movies(not videos)- 43 movies, 3 days, 4 hours, 57 minutes, 51 seconds, 28.71 GB

I haven't finished ripping my TV show seasons yet, so I can't accurately show off my collection, haha.

And before anyone says anything about piracy, I want them to look up fair use rights. Once you've read up on them, realize that CDs can go for as low as a penny on Amazon, vinyl records go for about a dime at yard sales, and cassettes going for less, which, by exercising my fair use rights, I am able to maintain digital copies of every form of music I own.

I'm a bit of a fan of this music thing. I play bass in two bands (a surf punk band and a black metal band), I MC for an alternative hip hop group, and I'm a self taught producer, in charge of my own label that's based around the punk band.

Music really is my life.

EDIT: also, I have a bit of OCD, so I'd never be caught dead with just one song from an album.
