Read the article.
As it says, take it with a grain of salt. Do you think this is true? If it is true, what do you think?
However, Newt is for a fact canceled, which has been confirmed, along with Disney's Snow Queen. It's a shame, I was looking forward to that more than Cars 2 and Bear and the Bow.

Monsters Inc. 2? About time.

Honestly, I'm rather upset. I knew nothing about Newt, but I was very interested to see what it would have been like, instead of a sequel to an existing film.

Yeah, but Monster's Inc had a very open ending. I was kinda wondering what happened to Boo.

If the sequel is true, I hope Randall returns. I loved that guy as a kid.
Laughs will not be a sufficient power source. One day, a kid will accidentally wander into the company, and the top scarer will go on a quest to hide the kid after having a fatherly affection for it, while accidentally stumbling upon an even powerful power source.
Most original sequel idea ever.

+10 pts to Pixar if the new power source is the power of rock.

Monsters Inc. 2, huh? It could be pretty good.
Still, I'm disappointed about the cancellation of Newt. I read a description of it a while back and it sounded like it would have been clever and funny. I was looking forward to that.
Oh well.

Literally no idea what Newt is, but Monsters Inc. 2 sounds like a good move.

Huh, never thought of a Monsters Inc sequel. But I always wondered about The Incredibles. But then again they made a game to cover that one up. I'll probably watch it. Monsters In is honestly one of my favourite animated films. I don't watch many.
Also, on that Newt Wikipedia page, I spied "Cars 2" at the bottom and now I want to cry ;;

Cars is my least favorite Pixar film, but it was still very good. It felt very Dreamworks-esque for some reason.

It was okay, yeah. Not sure what they'd do for a film though. Another race?
Whatever it is, I don't think it could overtake (how witty) the original. The only good sequel I've seen is Toy Story 2, really. Toy Story 3, woo.

Both Toy Stories have had literally 100% positive reviews from the top critics, according to Rotten Tomatoes. I wonder (since people are a lot more picky nowadays) how close Toy Story 3 will come to that?

Probably not quite as high, but probably pretty darn close. Critics are usually pretty positive toward Pixar movies.

Monsters Inc. 2... Hmm... i don't know, to me it just doesn't seem like it could happen. But its Pixar so anything could happen really.

Wanted to see Newt. :( I like Pixar making new stuff. I'd watch TS3, maybe even Cars 2, but after that, I wouldn't be too happy with more Pixar sequels.

I would. Most of their shows end with very open ends and I'm curious as to how they continue...except for A Bug's Life. Least favorite Pixar movie by far.

I think the point of an open ending is to say, "Hey, we've told the story, you can think up what happens next."
Sequels happen when people don't feel like thinking for themselves.

Finally! I've been wanting either a sequel to this or the Incredibles. I've thought of so many plotlines. I wonder what this one will be.

Monster's Inc. doesn't need a sequel. We do need Newt, though.

Me neither. The Wikipedia description made it sound kinda interesting, though.

No matter what anyone say, Finding Nemo will always reamain the greatest Pixar movie. Oh how I love it so. But it shouldn't have a sequel, because the first one was completely satisfying.
On the topic of the new movies: Cars 2 doesn't interest me, although it is the most suited for a sequel IMO. The Bear and The Bow, I don't really care about, but it may turn out to be very interesting. Monsters Inc. 2 may turn out to be great, but I don't think it needs a sequel. Newt looked great, and I'm sad to see it get left behind. Maybe they'll make it in the future.
Weren't Pixar doing a live-action movie?

Weren't Pixar doing a live-action movie?
Last I remember, it was that someone from Pixar was going to do a live-action movie, but most of the Pixar crew had nothing to do with it. I think they were still going to put it under the Pixar name, however...
I'm not sure what happened to that...

I remember a video of Lasseter talking about Cars 2, it like has the Cars going to England or something and having to adapt to their different ways of things or something like that.

I'd really like to see less sequels and more original Pixar movies come out.
I'm really looking forward to The Bear and the Bow in the next few years!

I hate Finding Nemo. I saw it in theaters, then every year afterwards they made us watch it in school, until about sixth grade.
