This impacts upon my life, and I'm fairly sure many of you have similar experiences of having or in some cases on having left feet. As a result it's a topic with which we can all identify and should all have opinions. This makes it worthy of discussion.

Personally I find having a left foot very beneficial, it allows me to walk and balances the fact I have a right foot. I can imagine that it must be really hard to live without a left foot, and it must be a traumatic experience to lose your left foot.
Fortunately neither me nor anyone I know have had such a tragedy befall me. Maybe one of you have. How does this make you feel?

I remember one time I broke one of my toes, and this toe was in fact on my left foot.
I did not know I had broken it, aside from the huge pain, and then twenty minutes later it was decided by my parents that we were to walk to my grandmothers.
I, obviously, complained about the pain. They told me to stop whining, and eventually I was taken to hospital. They discovered it was broken and my parents apologised.

Any similar stories?

I believe the left foot is more beneficial for my balance than my right.

Along with having impact in my life, it has impact with the floor.

I'm actually very grateful to have a left foot. Like you, it's helped me get along in life. I don't know what I would do without it. Probably crawl. Boy, that would suck.

Fourth grade kickball. Recess is almost over, we're down by 3 runs, the bases are loaded, and I'm up to kick. Now my whole life, I had been a right footer. The other team knew this, so they all shifted to the left, the direction that I would naturally kick it. The pitch came in, nice and smooth like I like it, and little did they know I had a trick up my sleeve. I run towards the ball, but instead of kicking it, I step into it with my right foot. I swing my left leg with all my strength, and my left foot makes contact with the ball dead-center. The kickball flies to right field, at least 20 feet away from a single outfielder, as the three basemen and I easily come around home to score. Just as I cross the plate, giving my team the lead, the teacher blows the whistle signaling that recess is over.

My left foot was a hero that day, and inspired many left feet to go on and accomplish great things.

That was beautiful and inspiring man.
That touches me right here, in my heart, and my left foot.
I'm glad we can all have this conversation about a topic that matters to us so deeply.

^I agree, Arti. My left foot has been with me all my life. I feel like I have a strong attachment to it, y'know?

I know it's crazy awesome.

The other day this snake came up to me and said "feet suck, especially left feet, they're no way to travel" and slithered off.

I was like "Wut" and ignored him, I was too busy having a foot to give a shit.

You should've stomped on it. With your left foot. :smug:

I probably would have. But it really wasn't worth it, I mean I wouldn't want to risk hurting my left foot, he might have bitten it.
Besides, it's not like the snakes opinion really mattered, he's never had feet, how does he know if it's awesome to have a foot or not? Or feet for that matter.

Well, the snake probably isn't listened to and held in high regard to people all across the world, so there's no reason. But if his opinion was known regularly to influence the opinion of others, then it would be more relevant, but people act on their opinion, and if he convinced other snakes that feet were bad, the snakes might come and destroy your feet.

I don't want my feet destroyed. I like my feet.

Yeah, but the snake would probably only be listened to by other snakes.
What with them being snakes and all.
Maybe Harry Potter but he's got feet, he'd be with us right?

Not if the snake makes a convincing argument. I hear they can be quite cunning.

I have this odd crampish-pullish sensation in my right foot, so I'm currently favoring my left.

ergo no metal of any kind i.e. disturbed, dethklok, etc.
