Sometimes I really love humanity. (http://io9.com/5529877/childs-final-superheroic-wish-is-the-greatest-thing-youll-read-today)

You know, this word is too overused these days, but it needs to be said in this case.

This is EPIC.

SO glad I found this. All faith in humanity is restored. For now, anyways. Excuse me, I think I have something in my eye... :')

An ENTIRE city without some douche bag yelling out "THIS IS ALL FAKE!"? I'm impressed, Seattle.

I was wondering how real it must have seemed to Electron Boy (aka Super Cancer) with all these guys holding phones to film him getting in the car. Still, must have been fun. Any video of him doing a HitGirl on the villains?

I smiled. :)

That would have been so sad if someone did do that.

The poor kid would have been crushed.

I'm not surprised this happened, but in a good way. I can tell you all from personal experience that the Make-A-Wish Foundation is just awesome like this. Also that was pretty awesome of Seattle to help.

Oh god, that brought the biggest smile to my face. It's stuff like this that reminds me that people aren't as huge of dicks as we make them out to be. C:

This is awesome. That kid must have felt pretty badass fighting his arch nemesis at the space needle.

I don't say this about most things, but...

GOD BLESS ELECTRON BOY.

This is the best thing I have heard in my life, seriously attempting to prevent the tears.

God I need to stop making batman references on my mind.

This is so awesome, but the facebook group should change to MvC3 character.

Someone needs to make a theme song for Electron Boy.

I read it as Election Boy, hilarity ensued as I thought that was hilarious.
Then I read the article and was touched.

God I need to stop making batman references on my mind.

This city just showed you it's full of people ready to believe in good!

Time for some sweet Electron Boy fan art. I really really want to do this, too so it will probably actually end up existing.

What the Hell, I live in Seattle and I didn't know this happened at all.

Wow.
If there were no explosions, even staged, fake ones, this was full of Swiss...

I'm glad nobody ruined it for electron boy.
I'm a little concerned that even though this was a good deed from an entire city that gave a young boy a truly memorable day, I don't feel happy or sad.
No form of media ever manages to provoke any negative reactions from me.

I've wondered for a while where I'd like to live if I ever moved to America, I know now.

Wow.

Come on, he was a kid - explosions probably would have made him shit himself.

Sorry, I can't add up "comic-book+superhero" without explosions.

Watchmen, a city exploded
Iron Man, a building exploded
Spiderman, well, I never saw it, but I'm sure something must of exploded
Batman, a bunch of cars exploded, but I don't consider him a superhero. More of a Civil Protector
Superman, come on

So, yeah

Oh shut up. What Seattle did for the kid was incredible, don't shit on it because it didn't meet your silly expectations.

Absolutely beautiful.

It's things like these that show hope in humanity, and helps us set aside all the evil and wrongdoing in the world today. Amazing.

Seattle is the best city in the world. If I can, I'm going to live there at some point in my life.

Seattle is the best city in the world.

Probably not.

Yiffgurl

Probably not.

I suppose it's subjective but I would rather be in Seattle than any other city in the world

I wonder why he chose to name himself after the electron. That's (wait for it) so negative of him.

I'm happy that civilization isn't as stupid as I thought it was.

That story brought a tear to my eye.

I would LOVE to do something like that.

W/o the cancer part.

Poor Electron Boy...
