I am really starting to get sick of Israel. While they have the U.S kissing their asses to conserve the Jewish vote in the States, Israel thinks it can do whatever the **** it wants, including raiding a flotilla that was being used for Activist purposes, killing 20 people.

A bit closer to home for me, they used forged Australian passports to carry out an Assassination, without our consent, then having the gall to throw our Diplomat out of Jerusalem. My patience wears thin. There's only so much Holocaust sympathy can award them.

One can only hope this doesn't escalate.

From what it sounded like, the soldiers were attacked when they boarded the boat. There's footage of people hitting soldiers with metal poles.

And that justifies them even boarding the vessel in the first place, how? It was international waters.

Well I suppose they could've waited for them to get into Israeli waters before going in, although they were apparently told to turn back as they were nearing a maritime blockade. And it still doesn't explain why the activists were carrying weapons anyway (albeit extremely light weapons). Needless to say, they activists have done what they set out to do at the cost of 19 lives.

edit: Even if they were in International Waters, where were they heading for?

Where is your God now? Unless they didn't take these from someone's garden shed.

According to the Independent there was also a Jewish Holocaust survivor on the boat.

Now that would definitely 100% have been justified and a success.

The whole middle east should probably just be flown to Mars.

Like, literally, carve out the middle east, tie the land to like 200 rockets, and fly them to mars. ;o

UK national says what happened from his point of view, including a warning to turn back from the maritime blockade http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/10210982.stm

Please don't read the Daily Mail. If you can't tell they're full of crap by their heavy use of "allegedly" and "OR SO THEY CLAIM LOL" then it's pretty obvious by all the trash articles they put down the right-hand side of their website.

Even still, what were they planning on doing with them apart from to piss off soldiers? Tell me that.

Regardless, they were right to go on the boat as it was heading for a maritime blockade and were not obeying orders from the authorities.

A maritime blockade that it itself is Illegal under International Law.

If Hamas (the people who control Gaza) don't want to cooperate then Israel has little choice. It's very easy to hide this detail with pictures of poverty in Gaza, which has been brought upon it by Hamas, which have made it plain that they wish to attack and destroy Israel if they had the chance. But feel free to erase this tiny detail because it would make less sense without it.

Israel even invited the boat to dock at a port, but they decided to ignore this and head straight for Gaza. If this had been any other country no-one would care. But then, I've never been there and spoken to anyone about this whole situation, so I am not really a good spokesperson for this. I can only work with what has happened.

I'm not defending Hamas, I'm just making the point that Israel is no more trustworthy then the people that seek to destroy them.

There's an ad at the bottom of the page for a "Holocaust Tour". I'm pretty sure that's impossible.

Although you can't get a perspective of this incident without considering the other ones. This whole Israel thing is a story arc from a TV series. I agree it shouldn't have been put there in the first place, but the main perpetrators are either not alive or are out of government (afaik).
