There is a neat little site that checks how complient your web browser is with display standards and various other things. It's also interesting to note that in the tests Internet Explorer 8 fails with a 20/100 when you'd think since it's the most popular browser, it would also be the one that's most complient with website display standards. It gave me 100/100 on Google Chrome.
It could of course just be something to make one browser look better. You never know, Google could have made it against IE or something. :smug:

Microsoft didn't try to pass on Acid 3 because it is only a test for draft standards.

The latest version of Safari for mac gets a 100 so it's not a google promoted site. I have Windows and Internet Explorer 8 and IE8 seems to not do very well on the tests at all.

I got a 97/100 using Firefox 4.0 Beta 6.
Failed 3 tests.
Test 26 passed, but took 78ms (less than 30fps)
Test 77 failed: expected '4776' but got '5550.625' - getComputedTextLength failed.
Test 78 failed: expected '90' but got '0' - getRotationOfChar(0) failed.
Test 79 failed: character position 1, which is between a normal character and the first character of a two-character glyph, is 72.203125 but should be 10000.
Total elapsed time: 1.40s
