Is there a sin for believing in the make believe? Like, are people who think Avatar is a real thing.. Are they sinners?
Because if a sin for that exist, then everyone who abides by the rules of that sin is sinning by committing that sin

Nice attempt at being witty, shame that:
1) It probably isn't a sin.
2) It wasn't funny.

Not trying to be witty, that is just a passive ability that I process and can not control :)
Serious question

So there are people who literally think Avatar is, like, a real thing?

There's a sin for everything, so if you actually believe in something that isn't real, yeah, you're probably going against God in some way.

It's a sin to believe in anything else but God.

It's not a sin. People believe in Santa... not a sin. Superstitions are sins though. Like carrying a good luck charm shows that you don't put faith in God blah blah.

I bet there's a sin for having to ask if something is a sin.

Not sure if it's a sin or not, but i'm pretty sure the bible mentions somewhere to 'not believe in false profits'.

As long as you don't put your faith into a being, real or fictional, other than the Lord our Father (There you go Tooie) then you will not have broken the Lord's Commandment.
So you can believe in unicorns existing, as long as you have faith in God and follow the big ten on your Christianity contract. Not sure if this answered any queries or if it was even the answer you wanted to hear.

Yes. You're a sinner. In the Christian context, you're a sinner until you die.

But then Jesus came and died so that you be will forgiven if you say sorry. But then it's also a sin if you think "I can do whatever I want and can just ask for forgivness" :P

NO, IT'S NOT.
What is there not to get. You're a sinner until you get judged. It's like a reversed process of innocent until proven guilty. You follow Jesus because he died for your sins or whatever, but that doesn't mean you're entirely forgiven. Only through Jesus do you get any hope of salvation. Duh.
Hell, I'm not Christian and even I know your religion better than you do. Pretty much, your existence is a sin itself. So as long as you're alive and doing things, you're sinning. As weird as that sounds because that is the nature of man. And its supposed to haunt man until they die.

He's asking if you're saying that you don't believe in what you were taught when you grew up or if you're just saying that it's okay not to believe in what you were brought up with.

What the hell, Whyme, methinks I'll humor you.
"No it's not a sin, 'cuz God isn't real, so by believing in him you'd be sinning if believing in unreal stuff were a sin."
There. Don't we all feel that much better? ;)

I'm saying neither. I said pretence isn't a sin, as long as it doesn't hit Crucible porportions.
