I got mine for like $50 or so from realhotstuff.com, it only works for DS/DS Lite, though.

Looks like it's $23 now.

I have an AceKard 2i (with a 16Gb MicroSD card). Works on all DS/DSL/DSi consoles. Not sure where it can be bought from outside of Australia but would highly recommend one of these.

Definitely get an Acekard 2i. Best bang for your buck.

Or you could just, you know, buy the games legally.

Don't know if it's still available.

WHAAAAAAT?! STOP THIS CRAZY TALK!

I got my R4 in Thailand for 15 AUD but they're definitely not the best option. By the sounds of the AceKard 2i I'd be leaning towards one of them if I were you.

'Too expensive' is not an excuse.

There are other reasons for using flashcards.

Like some Japanese games have been given complete English translations, for example.

I use mine for homebrew and backups I make myself. So, meh.

I got my R4 at a now defunt site. R4s and their copies aren't really worth getting these days, but are usually pretty cheap if you look for them. Foundmy (http://foundmy.com/oscom/index.php?cPath=32&osCsid=496ra13h1fhttfvgupp7qk9if42n9ncf) has them for ~$20. However, the home-made "Wood" firmware (Google for it) is currently being made for the R4 cards and their copies, so it's still being updated for new games (albeit not officially).

But, I've stuck with whatever the last official R4 firmware was, since I don't get new DS games anymore, so it doesn't matter to me.

I have an EZ-Flash IV (http://www.realhotstuff.com/ezflash-size-p-294.html) as a GBA flashcart, and it works quite well. I haven't had any problems with it (aside from the tab to pull out my miniSD breaking off from use, but that's not the EZFlash IV's problem :P ).

As for a microSD, 1-2GB ones are dirt cheap (< $10), so Wal-Mart). 4GB and up range from > $20.

Slight off topic: Anyone have a Supercard DSTWO? I've been tempted to get one, as it offers a GBA emulator, as well as a SNES emulator.
