But yeah, you gotta learn to only carry what you need with you, and warp back to your house when you've got a bunch of stuff before going anywhere too dangerous.

But that's just the thing, I had no idea it would be dangerous. I'd seen no monsters prior and had bought tons of arrows and had an iron sword just to be safe. I break two blocks and suddenly, I'm dead. Then I hear that tell tale squeaking noise and see five newly spawned slimes. Pissed. Me. Off.

I haven't seen any hostile mobs for a while. And regular mobs are rare too. Maybe because everyone has wolves, they're spawning less? I heard there's a limit.

instructions: so if you followed the coordinates exactly, you should be in a small kinda hole thing. there should be a hole there with a redstone torch. go inside of it and go to the other side of the lake/pond.
there should be a hallway. go to the end of a hallway until you spot a dispencer. go into that entrance near the dispencer. (not the one that goes down.)

I'm building railway line for tourists. Cost is just 1 iron ingot per ride. You need someone to put the fuel in the train, you cant seem do it yourself and ride the train at the same time.

Well my PC is running dianostic tools atm, so I am stuck using a much older PC to play.

2012-tech computer runs MineCraft fully awsome.

I was buring down a few trees and apparently a woodhouse is nearby. Should be safe I am told, but now I am worried...

How to stop a fire if it gets away? I shall hunt it down with axe and try to stop, but I think I may have cuase a big problem.

Fire does get out of control very fast, another lesson I learnt is dont play with lava in a timber house.

It is a bit more common then diamond.. About on par with gold.

Also, if you want a dedicated tree farm, plant a bunch of trees in a small area, totally isolated. Whenever you need wood, harvest what you can reach, pick up saplings from the leaves that decay, then burn it adown.

Could the sale of Gravel (1token), Sand (1token) and SandStone (4Tokens) be enabled? I ask becuase I often end up with over 100tokens worth and I currently have to either store then or throw them into my lava pit.


Is there anyway to allow the sale of Lapis Lazuli? I found some, but I wish to trade it in for tokens rather than make dye.

I had some of my rail line taken..not much but it was annoying. (I'm building a HUGE rail line at the moment, it should show up when the next map update is done.)

I have some Mossy stone, found it and a couple of chests with a few items in a cavern with a zombie spawner. One of the items was a saddle, so of course I just had to go pig riding.

I can't make a full map of the map, without the map file. I don't need the map file either for what I am doing.

Ok, so a radius of 12 regions/biomes. That should be enough info for me to some rendering.

Also, speaking of having the server vanilla until the associated third-party mods/addons are available; I forgot about the creepers no longer being nerfed.

Basically while in Vanilla, creeper do normal destruction (not 1 block) and if they are supercharged (it's over 9-thousand!!!) by lightning from the new weather effects, they are even more dangerous.

Spent last hour on the server and got some bad lag. About 80% of that hour was lagging.

I have never had this before and nothing has changed since last time when it was all ok.

Also, I presume we are all waiting on Bukkit to be updated? Or is it something else we need?

I shall leave MineCraft until it gets get to normal, becuase these normal creepers are just becomeing a pain.

While the field outside my home has now got large craters, not all yet filled back, the worst has been:

I found 3 creepers inside my house waiting for me to enter.
1st layer of my roof removed due to double-creeper attack.
Last layer of my roof removed to to a visitor being attack by another double-creeper attack (same spot too).
Had a single creeper blow up part of my suger farm.
Had a single creeper blow up one side of my bridge.

I have now repaired most of the damage, but at the risk of things becoming more post-nuclear, I will wait till the server is able to be fullyt updated.

There's actually a serious problem if creepers are spawning inside your house. Torch that shit up.

I have placed trorches a plenty though and I am not sure how they spawned in all the light.

I also have a problem atm where skeletons or zombies spawn when I try to sleep. Spyke helped me fix it (I had built my house ontop of a monster spawner), but now they are back.

need plenty of torches in your room around you, and you shouldn't sleep against a one block thick wall (or above a one block thick floor :P)

Well it seems whilst rebuilding my whole house in layvers of cobble I discoverd something rather interesting...

My land (which I shall soon build a fence and welcome sign around) is somewhat of a good tourist location.

First thing was that made me consider this was when Spyke found a Spider-Jockey outside my home (though i did not see this one).

About 32 hours ago I saw some thing even more rare, 0.001% chance of happening when darkness falls... Two Spider-Jockeys! They were just over a small hill I have yet to flattern and they were together attacking me. Died before I could get a screenshot though...

I live smack dab next to a Desert Biome where it hardly ever rains, but the surrounding Bioms often do. It is like a small square of dry when there is thunder and rain all around.

Finally, the most fun part. I have recently noticed a very large amount of creepers gathering in the dark, and thus decided to take a few pics of this (photo enhanced of course with a little contrast and such):

Just lost a lavabucket...

I bought 2 from the store and they stacked. Becuase it is a non-stackable item I only got to use it once, not twice that I paid for.

I then bought a 3rd to finish my furnace, and thus was short changed.

Hopefully next time a mod is online they can fix this for me. If needed, it should so up on the log right before I detonated 12 TNT.

^You could have just split them (right click) at full usage and you would have been fine. I don't think you should be reimbursed though, it was kinda your own fault. I feel your pain though - I wasted two stone pickaxes in the same way earlier (that's right, stone. i was mildly annoyed.)

It is a bug with the iCShop plugin, but I did not know of it. I figured "oh cool, you can stack buckits. Why did I not try this before?". No... I can't stack them I can lose them.

That is a good top about the right-click to split. I use it alot when craft large amounts.
A similar tip is to shift-click to move items to and from a chest really quick.

Lava isn't that good to use as a fuel.

Coal/charcoal can do a stack of 64 items with only 8 fuel. Lava can do 100 items, so it is comparably roughly to 13 charcoal... Plus you loose 3 iron

Shift-click is great, I only found out about it a few fays ago. It's a pity buckets are consumed when you fuel a furnace with lava, otherwise lava would actually make a pretty decent fuel. Coal is so common that it's kinda redundant though. Plus 8 coal smelts a neat stack where lava buckets lose some efficiency because you waste fuel putting more stuff in the furnace to smelt.

Oh... when I say Furnace I mean a contruction that is about 4x4x4 and contains 2 lava blocks. Not the item crafted with 8 Cobble.

And yeah, coal (or charcoal if your desperate) has the 8 block smelting rule. So 8 Coal + 64 Something = 64 Something_Better.

Alone with my single path of RedStone Torches leading to town from my land, I have started to make some good progress on my border. My border is made of SandStone and has a fence. Small entries are marked with a welcome sign.

Also, about the shops that have seen little to no activity; notice the new rules posted on the billboard. If your shop is abandoned it might me re-possesed. Just a good thing to notice incase nobody has seen it yet.

I was just reading up about Lighting as now ther eis alot more information available...

A little warning for those who have a flammable structure; while lighting strikes can only occur during snow or rain, they can actually create weather-resistant fire.

That is to say, lightning can create a fire that becomes large enough to resist being put out be rain. I don't know if this is a bug or intended feature.

It is rare for this to happen, but it can occur on any block that is within 144 blocks of an active player.

This means, that for every lighting storm, there is a chance that somebodys house may burn down.

So... if you log on one day and find your house destroyed, it may have suffered the same unlucky fate as a sorrunding forrest (which, btw, more forest = more risk).

I think the abondoned shop rule mainly goes with that one in the back corner IIRC, which never opened up. But I think the shops just don't get as much business than what was predicted anyways because people instead go and find their own resources rather than buy them.

Can I suggest we update the town bill boards to better clarify the rules?

Such as explaining that all activity is logged and if you are found to break the rules, you may face a 1-month suspension from the MineCraft server (at a OP's/Mod's/Admin's discretion).

This way, for example in the case of theft as mentioned in an above post, both players would be warned and told to re-read the rules for thier benifit.
