Earthbound Automatic Win

This morning, I was so bored I just picked up the first game I saw and started playing it. The game happened to be earthbound (as in the game w/ Ness on it). I noticed that when I fought some enemys, the screen would flash and I would automatically win the battle.:eek: Any reason why that is?

No idea, sorry. But you should pass the game using this, and it would be very cool :cool:.

When you reach a certain level and encounter an enemy much weaker than you, you automatically win against it without having to go through the battle. I just got Earthbound myself. :)

Use your Girl character and pray everytime on her turn.
-Though that I shouild put in one of these, just incase. At lest I think that's what you really do to kill 'em on the final phaze.

When you level up significantly, to the point where you're a good 10-or-so levels above your opponent, the game automatically (and quite accurately) assumes that you're going to win - and so ends the battle automatically. So, there you are.

It's quite amusing to see all enemies running away from you when you are getting instant victories.

Ah, the final battle... Took me days to figure it out. :p Also, that 8-bit/Heavy Metal remix that plays when fighting Gygas... Man, I LOVE that song.

The autowin feature is a smart thing - it should be used in every RPG.

I have a few codes done for the japanese version...

It's possible to play as 255 different characters! (with my codes)
Yet not those cool Dinosaurs you tackle at the start :(
I'm not sure how many characters you can normally play as. Anyone know?
