Find a cool little application that you use often and want to show it to others? Post it here.
1. (Although most of you know it...) CCleaner (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download)
This useful little tool will entirely wipe every last useless bit of data on your computer, from unused file extensions to browsing history across every browser. Using this will clear any kind of last used data, last opened data, and is just all around good for clearing out junk that your computer builds up over time. Everyone should use this.
2. Defraggler (http://www.piriform.com/defraggler)
A simplified defragging program that is more efficient than the one that comes standard with Windows computers. It also allows you to specify which files to defrag, how long it will take, and many more options to optimize your computers performance when it comes to defragging. I highly recommend this one.
3. Speccy (http://www.piriform.com/speccy)
A very small program that fetches every last bit of your computer's hardware information, from how many hertz your power supply can use, to how hot your system is currently running. Whenever someone asks for my specs, I just take a screenshot of the display of this program.
4. SmartClose (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/smartclose.html)
A program that will force-close every single process on your computer, other than ones that are absolutely vital for your system to run. The program automatically know the vital files, so there's no need to worry about that. It does not, however, know about your anti-virus. In which case, there is an allow list, in which you can add programs that you wish to keep running. I run SmartClose every few hours, especially after playing a game or surfing the web. You'd be surprised how many little processes pile up that aren't needed. And just in case for some reason it closes a process that makes your system unstable, it has a built in "screenshot" feature in which it will automatically restore your computer to how it was before the force-close, so there is no chance of you harming your computer.
Most of these are computer maintenance programs, although you can post anything that you find handy. Hope these help. :)
