(Craft)Bukkit ready for updating?

I presume that the MineCraft server uses Bukkit, so I figured perhpas with the last 48 of testing that we would be safe to use the MC_1.5 release now.

Major testing was happing around the 701-710 mark, but apparently it is very close to ready and is very stable atm.

As of this post it is 716.

Also, it would be good to update the dev-release every 24 hours until the Recommend-release is out.

What does everybody else think?

I'd prefer Bukkit, but we seem to be using an unofficial version of hMod. Have to see what Ice decides.

Our server uses CanaryMod. The only thing we really rely on is the iCShop, but there is a version for Bukkit, so I might have a look and see how stable it is.

Lol. I thought it was bukkit, then Spyke thought hMod... and the winner is: NOBODY! yay?

I shall look into this too, out of curiosity.

If it's very similar, couldn't you port the current iCShop config files to the Bukkit version?

Well I looked into ti and hMod sort of brached of indirectly into bukkit and canary.

Canary and Bukkit seem to be updating them selves toe-to-toe, but I'd say bukkit is the closest.

No, hMod just became Canary as the community picked it up. Bukkit and hMod were competing iirc.

Though Bukkit appears to be ahead, canary is gaining speed.

I suppose it is all up to Ice on whether to stick with canary or try out Bukkit.

Canary is currently cuasing servers to crash and is undergoing finally testing and fixing.
Bukkit is ready and done. http://bukkit.org/

edit: Canary now say on thier website that everything has gone wrong and there are going to start coding again from the start. Bukkit meanwhile is full steam ahead. Poor canary seems to have lost this one.
