YES YES YES YES YES!!!! *jumps up and down*

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Oh my God. I thought it would never happen. I guess MGM got fed up with EA's lackluster Bond titles. They did have a contract to make Bond games up until 2010, yet it's still only 2006. Not that I'm complaining, obviously :D

Activision is a worthy publisher. They'll definitely bring quality to the Bond video games.

YES :D

I never saw you this happy, Gold.
I've never played a james bond game, but i'll have to confess that EA should stick with sports and the sims...

I've never felt so happy. I feel on top of the world :)

I don't know if EA lost the rights or gave them up, but from the looks of it they lost it. A big-arse, greedy company like EA... Bond is the last thing they'd give up. They took it for granted, though, because their games basically never changed. The story, characters and settings changed, but the gameplay always stayed the same. You play one EA Bond game, you've played them all -- which is definitely true of Everything Or Nothing and From Russia With Love.

Activision is great. They'll breathe new life into it. Maybe we'll finally get a Bond game that can topple Rare's Goldeneye (okay, that might still be a tall order, but I'm sure they'll come closer than EA ever has).

Tee hee :approve:

Well, Gold. I suppose that I'm happy. Although you seem to have ruptured something. Enjoy your moment, anyway. :p

This announcement sounds like it was better than a birthday present Gold! :D I've never really been a fan of Bond games, but knowing EA just about any other publisher is better!

If Sub ever reads your post, I'm going to tell him that you were under the influence of the Punch when you wrote that. ;)

This is actually very depressing news. I was looking forward to a sequel to Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, which was one of the best video games I've played in recent years. So if I had to say something positive about EA, it's that EA was consistent. Their unique style of game design will be missed.

As much as I miss the Halo 2 modding crowd on Live that thought it was funny to mod their Sniper Rifle so that every shot was a headshot. ;)

(Although EA DID do SOMETHING right when they made Nightfire.)

Go sit in the corner, and think about what you've said. Go on.

No! I will NOT sit in the corner! I will not stand for this oppression and stifling of opinions! I will rise up against the Ice Mario regime and speak the TRUTH:

There is no spoon.

The funny thing is that I made this post right after reading this (http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?showtopic=92576), which has a couple of sentences about EA's team telling Doak that Rogue Agent would be better than GE007. Laughable.
