have you ever had this happen to you (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronicity) me and my friend were having a causal conversation about Africa when we jumped from the continent of Africa to the subjects of giraffes right as we did so some one walks out of the store with a giraffe stuffed animal

My cousin was eating a multi-coloured candy and I guessed one of the colours correctly when he pulled it out of the bag. Does that count?

"The text that you have entered is too long (10209 characters). Please shorten it to 10000 characters long."
I was gonna paste the whole article into this post. But apparently I can't do simple things like that.

I'm not N64DD but I can try to give you one anyway.
According to Wiktionary (and myself) there are three definitions.
1. The state of being synchronous or simultaneous.
2. Coincidences that seem to be meaningfully related; supposedly the result of "universal forces". (I believe this is what he meant)
3. A 1983 album by the British rock group the Police.
4. Two songs from the above album.

What's synchronicity?Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events, that are apparently causally unrelated or unlikely to occur together by chance, that are observed to occur together in a meaningful manner.
Like the example I gave in the OP a more complex example would be.. Lets say your aunt likes I don't know riana's umberella song and she collects.... Buterfly figures lets say that your aunt passed away and your hanging out with your friend in a mall out side and right as you get on the topic of your aunt, umberella comes on the radio while at the same time a butterfly flies right past your table
I made this thread cause I find the concept facinating is all I'm not trying to state anything :P

How do you differentiate that from an ironic coincidence? Because that's all what you just described sounds like to me.

This one time I had to take a dump, and as I was walking down the street I found a bathroom and went inside to go shit.
When I got inside, someone else was in the bathroom to take a dump as well.
Must be fate or magic or synchronicity. We were both destined to take the Browns to the Super Bowl at a similar time.

Must be fate or magic or synchronicity...I don't get it
As stated before I'm not saying is magical or super natural I'm just interested in the personal expierences

I have synchronicity with the television sometimes. Occasionally I'm discussing a certain subject (subject varies every time) with someone on MSN, and then get caught off guard when the TV starts talking about the exact same subject sometimes only seconds later.
I also have synchronicity with my brothers in the fact that I've had the exact reaction as one of my brothers at the exact time more than would be considered a comfortable amount.

Happens all the time. The other night I thought "The Derren Brown website needs a redesign..."
The morning after, it was down with a notice saying they were redesigning it.
A few months back I said to my neighbour, "Name any playing card." I was holding one in my hand and it was supposed to prove that psychic ability doesn't exist at the beginning of a trick I did. It was my first time performing the trick and she said "Ace of Hearts". It actually was the Ace of Hearts.
A few days later, a friend said "Guess where I went today?" and as a joke I said "India?". Turned out they'd been to the Sikh temple.
And way more than I could possibly remember or write down.

This has happened to me a few times too. Always find it funny.
