Actually, it ain't a teaser, graphics wise. That's the in-game graphics engine. :)

Bungie - of all sites - has some more good stuff on Halo 3 (http://www.bungie.net/News/TopStory.aspx?link=Halo3Announcement), too. Be warned: if you're downloading the large Windows Media trailer, there's not as much actual picture as there is black border (the full video is 1280 x 544), because the video was done in 2.35:1. Perfect for Graumann's Chinese Theater, of course, but not for our computers.

Still, the game looks stunning. '07 is gonna be the Year of Halo, with Halo 3, the Halo movie, and the simple fact that it is the seventh year in this century (Bungie is obsessed with the number 7).

So, Halo 3 is out now...I guess I can start to hear the chatter from my friends that have "Halo Night" after Friday Night Church...seriously, they go on and on and on about it...it gets old. For that reason alone, I dislike Halo.

I've never played Halo or its sequel, so I can't say I have anything against the games themselves. It's just that there are a bunch of boys at my school who seem capable of talking about only two subjects: Halo and sports. But recently, it's mostly Halo. I sit in the midst of them in one of my classes, and am forced to listen to them blabber on about the SAME THING EVERY DAY. It's awful.

I wish. The version of New Mombasa they showed at E3 '03 ("Earth City") absolutely kicked ass. Shame it got cut down and re-worked into something resembling your average Tom Clancy FPS. :(

In the trailer, they more or less show New Mombasa after the Covenant have had their way with it. Which, of course, was supposed to happen in Halo 2.

I like Halo and will buy Halo 3. I think people get obsessed with it too much but that happens to all good games. Half Life 2, Counterstrike, WoW

Wow, H3. I like halo. A lot. it and BK and Conker are all about equal to me. After all, what better way of saying "stress relief" then sticking a guy in the head with a plasma grenade (AKA Blue Screen of Death) then blowing him up at the feet with a rocket launcher. Then you see his body go flying, the grenade explodes, and his body goes flying in a different direction.

Anyways, that was a neat trailer, one I actually enjoyed. I'm not too big on trailers, I like the real thing better. Anyways, I can't tell you how I know this, but.....SPOILER AHEAD!

Just because Bungie has an infatuation with the number 7 doesn't mean that they're going to release Halo 3 on 7/7/07. ;) Halo games are traditionally released in November, usually three years to the day apart.

Halo - 11/10/01

Halo 2 - 11/9/04

So it stands to reason that Halo 3's release date will be either 11/8/07, 11/9/07, or 11/10/07.

Ummm. How would you have to get used to it? Besides it helps to play with people who aren't 10 year olds. Besides it's alot better than the Sony FPS'. They just aren't made for shooters. Or any sort of fast paced action. The Gamecube isn't all that good for it either. I'm not a fan of anything really. I like all 3. Wait. No. I like all 2. I hate Sony. :D I'm sure as hell not paying 500 dollers for a system that will also have games that cost 60 to 100! Sony is just out there to rape us all.

Oh and sweet! More of those books. Those were some of my favorites...

Where did you read this? It's been confirmed that Eric Nylund is working on a fourth Halo novel (codenamed "Ghosts of Coral"), the backstory for Gears of War, and a couple of original projects, but I never heard anything about him doing that many more Halo novels.
