Well, since E3 has been finished and wrapped, this would be an appropriate thread to make.

So basically, who do you think won E3? Personally, I think Nintendo stole the show. The Revolution (and the controller), SMG, Zelda, Metroid, SSBD, New SMB, all of these great games!

Nintendo. Sony failed because of the horrible prices, and Microsoft failed because there wasn't any good announcements. Nintendo announced everything. New games, the new consel, the feel and more.

I think that the PS3 stole the show. With its insane prices and its rip-off of Nintendo, more people were talking about it than the Wii.

So basically, who do you think won E3?

I think the gamers won on account of Nintendo being so great ;)

I think Nintendo definitely wowed a lot of people, to say the least. I like the Xbox 360, and Microsoft kind of had a decent thing going, but their only real big thing was Halo 3's trailer... and even that was kind of disappointing. Some gameplay footage would have been nice, but instead we get something that would be right at home on Apple's movie trailer website. Thanks Bungie.

Sony... well... yeah :p

I think Nintendo won E3. They showed everyone exactly what they wanted to see. How the Wii would work. I'd thought of the possibilities before but now seeing footage of how it will work makes it all the better.

I don't think anyone can say they wouldn't like to play the Wii at least once just to see what it's like, whereas I have no desire to play the Xbox or PS3 because there is practically no difference between them and the current generation of consoles.

According to some polls at GameFAQs, Nintendo has done really well at E3. I think this is great to see, since Nintendo has pretty much been battered lately. A couple of polls on a website are not proof of anything, but GameFAQs does attract a sizeable population of gamers, so I would say the results have some reasonable basis.

Some good numbers for Nintendo:
People who will definitely or probably get a Wii now: 60%
People who will definitely or probably get a PS3 now: 33%

For the statistically challenged, nearly twice as many voters claim they will get a Wii than will get a PS3.

People expecting to get a Wii before E3: 40%
People expecting to get a PS3 before E3: 59%

I was actually surprised to see third place Nintendo that high pre-E3. Regardless, a 20% increase during E3 is a lot. Meanwhile, PS3 went the other way. A lot of the people who said they would get it before E3 said that they would, if the price was right. Perhaps Sony has priced themselves out of the market? (Though to be fair, I haven't heard a price for the Wii yet.)

People who think Nintendo has made the best E3 showing: 49%
People who think Sony has made the best E3 showing: 27%

I think those numbers speak for themselves...

In conclusion... Some very exciting stuff Nintendo is doing...

Nintendo wins.

From my point of view Nintendo won easily.

Sony I didn't see a thing because there was nothing I heard that interested me.

I've downloaded Microsoft's Press conference and Halo 3 teaser but I've only seen the teaser.

Nintendo I downloaded the press conference and a lot of trailers for games and have seen them all. Nintendo got me excited in a console the way I haven't been excited with anything in gaming for a long time. I was so excited I made my brother and parents watch the awsome things that can be done with the controller.

I also told my mum that if the wii out (in Australia) before christmas (and I don't have one) she can get me one for christmas.

Overall I really love what Nintendo have shown off and have set themselves up for. People may not like the name Wii, but I'll bet they love the console.

Are you sure you got that the right way round? You said Sony won, then Microsoft and Nintendo was last.

Nintendo<Microsoft<Sony

I think you mean (Judging by your vote in the Poll):

Nintendo>Microsoft>Sony

(Nintendo is greater than Microsoft who is greater than Sony)

EDIT: Ice Lightning beat me too it... *waves fist* ;)

Is this site a Nintendo lover site

Well, okay, Rare's games came out on a Nintendo system for well over a decade. I don't think the math could be any clearer than that ;)

yeah i always thought Sony was better than Microsoft, but i also think that Nintendo beats them all. and i was disappointed to hear how Gamecube was in third place to Sony's first and Microsoft's second. Now after E3 has occured, i think Nintendo is finally where we have wanted it for so long...on the top.:D

Actually, if you asked me I would say that the DS won E3 this year.
After all we've got Yoshi Island 2, New Mario Bros, Starfox DS, DKR DS, etc and other stuff I forgot.

I think Microsoft though that the Halo 3 trailer would be enough but it was not. Sony pretty much wanted that Wii feel and put it in their controller but no one really cared. The DS games and Wii and Wii games were incredible. Can't wait for this holiday season.

Nintendo was easily the winner at E3 this year in my eyes and for obvious reasons.

Microsoft had a decent showing too, especially with Halo 3, but it seemed nothing else was memorable for me.

Sony... well, Sony was just a disappointment. $600? That's a laugh.

Meh. Everything was pretty much a disappointment, besides a few of Nintendo's announcements.

"The Nintendo conference was like a party. In stark contrast, ahd the Sony conference gone on any longer, a funeral might have broken out."

Didn't see the Microsoft one but from what I've heard it was pretty "meh". (But more of a good "meh" than a bad one)

Nintendo, by far.

Nintendo: Revealed plenty of cool, new things at E3 this year. Of great importance, certain cool games like Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Metroid Prime 3. (I heard it was announced at E3. Or, am I wrong?)

Microsoft: I never heard much that came from Microsoft as E3 went. The only game I'll look forward to is Halo 3. It looks great, but, other than that, Microsoft loses.

Sony: Paystation 3. 'Nuff said.
