Duck Hunt for Wii? With a Light Gun?

That's right, I was (once again) reading up some more news on the Revolution at IGN and I found this (http://revolution.ign.com/articles/706/706955p1.html) which shows 2 videos of this new Duck Hunt in action.

I'm not going to spoil it for you guys, but it's AWESOME.


And, what is Duck Hunt without a Light Gun? Nothing! That's why Nintendo is even releasing a light gun peripheral (http://revolution.ign.com/articles/707/707077p1.html) for the Revolution.



This is awesome guys! Duck Hunt is one of the reasons I pull out my NES and play. I'm definately going to get me a Wii now!

It's amazing, but I haven't played Duck Hunt since I was little, seeing as I no longer have an NES. But I loved it so I can't wait to play the new version! All the new additions really put new life into the game too!

THE VIDEOS HAVE MISSED THE ENTIRE SPIRIT OF DUCK HUNT BY LEAVING OUT THE DOG.

I mean that's what made Duck Hunt incredible (Well besides being attached to SMB). The dog made the game tick. Without him, I would have quit playing a few rounds in. But seeing him laugh at me forced me to swallow my pride and continue on just to spite it. As far as I'm concerned, that dog was the game.

Yeah, I agree, as this information has been floating around for awhile. I mean I've known about Duck Hunt since the 80s.

(Honestly though, you're right as rumors in regards to a new Duck Hunt have been floating around for a decent amount of time now. I think this is the first time that video of a running copy has surfaced though... :) )

It looks like you have no ammo counter, and that shooting off bullets into the sky takes away no points, but I could be wrong and this is just a beta version.

Also, that light gun peripheral explains the infarred transmitter thingermajig at the front of the controller.

Awesome! Now just immagine playing first person shooters with the light gun!! It'll be awesome! It'll be amazing! Oh and Duck Hunt will be cool too I guess, cept I've never played it.
