I find it interesting Banjo Kazooie is mentioned on the cover art.

I wonder just how many references to BK/BT are going to be throughout the game. We've seen the Devil Bottles pic on the fireplace mantle already, so who knows...
Looks like the release date is October 29 (buy.com) or October 31 (amazon.com). Time to get an XBox.

I don't find it surprising at all that they mentioned that this game is by the creators of Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie...

yeah, it's like
"from the creators of Monsters, Inc."

What? Monsters Inc.?

I didn't find it interesting that they put the From the Creators Of tag on there, but that they chose Donkey Kong Country and Banjo Kazooie. DKC yes, but BK? Why not GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, or DK64? Weren't those better sellers and more popular?
Or maybe I missed the boat entirely. Rare says Ghoulies is from the same development team that produced BK and BT. Did that same team produce DKC and it's sequels too?

Yep. The development team working on 'Ghoulies' developed the Banjo and DK series. I don't even know how many of the original GE and PD development members are left--some created the company who makes TimeSplitters, others left after the move to XBox... and it's possible some GE/PD team members are working on 'Ghoulies' or possibly 'Kameo'... but in general, that's why it says "From the creators of Banjo and DK" on it, and nothing else.

I think it's an imp of some sort. At least, the IGN preview mentions "fire imps", so...

I think they mentioned DKC and Banjo Kazooie because they are most related to Grabbed By THe Ghoulies, gameplay and color wise. A colorful platform game like Banjo Kazooie has more connections with a game like Grabbed By The Ghoulies, than a dark FPS like Perfect Dark or Goldeneye does.

Or, as was mentioned before, the fact that the games were developed by extremely similar teams. ;)

I can confirm that Graeme Norgate, Karl Hilton, David Doak (Remember Dr. Doak in the Facility in GE?), Stephen Ellis, and Lee Ray left Rare to go form/work at Free Radical. Of course, there could be a few more that I'm missing, but I think I've got the lot.

If that was their reason, that is incredibly lame. I hate when companies do that. "Viewtiful Joe, by the creators of Resident Evil!". You know what, no one cares. Viewtiful Joe is a colorful fighting cell-shaded action game. Resident Evil is a dark bloody zombie shoot them up.
Viewtiful Joe to Resident Evil
Grabbed By The Ghoulies To Perfect Dark
The retardedness behind the connection sounds lame in both examples...

You spelled cel-shaded wrong. That spelling is for retards.
Grabbed by the Ghoulies is not made by the PD team. It's made by members of the DKC and Banjo teams.
Oh, and your Boot Tourney has flaws in it. If you can find out what they are, I'll give you a cookie.

Since you took time out to ATTEMPT to diss my post, I'll counteract in an equal fashion.

Quite right. Didn't catch that typo. Which of course, it WAS a type, judging by me spelling cel-shading right in every post other than this one.

... Perhaps you missed the entire point of my post. In fact, I'm sure you did, or you wouldn't have said that in response :p.

...The boot list is screwed up. I said that a million times. Thats the only real flaw in it, and its a minute detail. The boot list isn't as important as the immune list anyway.
