View Full Version : Grunty's Lair in CBFD?

I was over at Wikipedia reading their entry on Banjo-Kazooie and it claimed that if you use a levitation code in Conker's BFD, you can see Grunty's Lair as part of the background in Barn Boys. No source of info is provided. Can anyone confirm this or is it unsubstantiated Wiki-garbage? Anyone know where I can find a screenshot if it's true?

It might be the panther lair, not Grunty Lair.

OFF-TOPIC: However, speaking of Wiki Garbage, s.w.a.t just sent me a picture of "Twilight Princess" from Wikipedia. It showed a *GIANT* picture of Samus, and read, "...of course you know that the first main boss will be a Giant Samus..." What in the world?! When I clicked back, the picture of Samus was gone...Really, really weird!

But, no...not sure about the Conker thing. Probably not true...anyone can alter a Wiki article. :)

Nah, they didn't mean the Panther's Lair. It's a section specifically claiming that the Isle o' Hags and Windy are located nearby to each other, citing Grunty's Lair's visibility from Barn Boys as proof of this.

I don't know about this, but for some reason I think I have seen it before. I didn't use the levitate code though..............

I could very well imagine this happening, if it is real then maybe Conker could be considered a sequel to B-T?

Same here. I leviated and I saw a tower that had a similar top, but that was it. No Grunty's lair.

Thats not grunty's lair...grunty's lair is zig-zagged, this one is straight up. Its also green, and this one is gray.

I say conker's world would also be banjos world, seeing as banjo is stuffed and kazooie is an umbrella handle at the cock and plucker.

Aren't they all supposed to be a group of islands...

I heard somewhere, (probably here... pfff) that Isle 'o Hags, Windy, DK Isle and Tiger Island were all bunched together...

Oh yea, that IS the Bat's tower. I thought I had seen A weird tower in Conker before, but I don't think you would HAVE to use a levitate code to see it. Remember, Barn Boys has that really high up place, with the bucket thing? Either way, this is the kinda stuff that makes me love Conker ^_^

I believe they're reffering to the DKU (Donkey Kong Universe) (http://www.dkvine.com/what_is_the_dku.html) theory which states that any Rare characters who have appeared with Donkey Kong, or with other characters that have appeared with Donkey Kong, (for example, Banjo and Conker in DKR) exist in the same world.

Well, Rare has an interesting habit of interlocking games through cameos and easter eggs. Like, in Banjo Kazooie, the picture of Donkey Kong. In Banjo Tooie, the Donkey Kong doll and the Jet Force Gemini posters.

Diddy Kong Racing had Banjo AND Conker, before they were their own stars.
