That's right, Minecraft is not finished yet. A while ago they released a pre-release for the upcoming version, 1.0.1 (Not 1.1.0 I'm an idiot) Changes include:


Natural way to acquire Apples, they now occasionally fall from trees
Farmland is only trampled by jumping, animals can not trample it
Fog at Bedrock level removed from Creative mode


So much for 1.0.0 being the "Finished Game".

It's out of beta, but it's by no means finished.

So much for 1.0.0 being the "Finished Game".
1.0 is the finished game. That doesn't mean they can't add to it. Notch also said several weeks ago that they would continue adding new features after full release.

Did someone insinuate it was finished? I don't remember that. Either way, I expected updates. and I look forward to them. The apple thing especially.

It shouldn't have been called a beta for as long as it was, I felt it was fine. It's served more playtime that all the COD campaigns put together. You created your own fun, by turning a wilderness into a survivable area, more inhabitable. 'The End' was pointless, there's no narrative to minecraft.
