Rules:

Please use the skins provided in this post, so that you can tell each other apart.
Win by being the first team to complete the grid of 9 Gold Blocks.
Please choose a team and stay on your team for the whole event.
Killing and stealing is indeed allowed, just don't grief your own team.
Feel free to lure creepers or spread lava about your opponents area.
Expected duration is 2 hours, but may vary.


note: helmets may obscure team colors. Use with caution.

I will try to record a good spectator view from above, so that it can be posted on youtube. Feel free to record your own footage aswell.

I'm assuming this is on your server? As this seems an appropriate way to go before the shutdown and sounds like it could be fun.

Do we start with no tools at all. I think that would be good.

I will host this event and I will provide a few sneak peak details of what will be:


Win by posting screenshot proof of gold pile.
The gold pile (CTF flag) can be built or stolen.
Fortress optional and no build limits.
Flat battlefield.
Team based gameplay.
Includes creepers.
Game estimated at 2-hour session.
Almost no rules.


I may be able record the first session and upload to youtube, but no promises.

I will announce the starting time soon, so keep checking the thread for updates. Also post lots to show your excitement and predictions. :)

What about a PvP free for all in the quest to get as much gold as possible..ie steal each others stuff, kill players, team up or work as individual. Maybe the game should go over a 2 day period, as not everyone will be able to play, especially those not in our part of the world.

Both teams will have a pile of wood to help them start. This is because trees won't be too close to the battleground. Stone, however, will be rather easy to come by.

I will be able to hold more sessions later, but shall start with some basic RWP events. I will have the first one open to all guests to the RWP forums, with no white-list. I will try to set the events up with world friendly times.

The first will mostly be about learning to play and what you find helps the team best. I am thinking I would be best at defense and hiding the gold. With some iron amour and a bucket of lava, I'd make my team proud. That being said, I would probably have to just spectate the first match to make sure everything works out as planned. Plus I could record the match if I were spectating.

I am pretty well practiced with lava buckets, so I reckon I know my choice of weapon :D . Only problem, is getting some quickly.

Something came up and stole my time. I have however put in a couple hours hard work to get things ready.
