"What?" I hear you cry. "Why are they releasing a PDZ demo NOW, when the game's been out for the past six months?!" Well, the answer can be summed up in one word:

Plaza.

The new demo (http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f305/RWWiki/Noname013.jpg) showcases the majority of Outpost - Rescue, and lets players check out (http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f305/RWWiki/Noname014.jpg) the Small version of one of the new maps, Plaza. Plaza is based mostly on Outpost, although there is an obvious bit of influence from Mansion - Infiltration. The map is much darker than the others, and you can shoot out the lights to make it even darker. This means that the DW-P5's flashlight, the P9P's flashlight, SuperDragon's night vision, and the RCP-90's Threat Detector vision will be very, very useful. Observe:

Normal lighting (http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f305/RWWiki/Noname016.jpg)
The same area (I looked slightly to the right) when the DW-P5's flashlight is turned on (http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f305/RWWiki/Noname017.jpg)

Methinks Eradiction will be very, very interesting on this map.

007Craft, from the xbox.com forums, managed to get out of the Small version of the map and into Base 1. This is what he saw. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j80MQQmK3nA)

Map Pack 1 - which features Plaza, Gasplant, Trench, and Rooftops - will probably be released around June 9th (500 Microsoft Points), and OXM UK keeps claiming that we'll get three new game modes, too...

Counter-Op and Challenges, maybe? Only time will tell.

Eh.
Plaza Small is a bit TOO cramped for my tastes.
It's alright for Infection, Killcount, eh.

Nice, but if you want to play a PD game, why dont you just buy one?

I own both of them. The point of downloading the demo is to play Plaza a week before it's released in the map pack.

I agree - the map does feel pretty cramped, although I think it might be better when the full version, which'll have all 4 bases, comes out. Here's to hoping for some more open rooms.

One thing's for certain: if explosives are enabled, this map will be an absolute deathtrap. Just imagine a 32-player rockets match...
