Despite being cel shaded, it looks Rare's new game for XBox is turning out to be an excellent game, and a strong example of Rare's re-emergence on the new consoles.
Being chock full of Rare references, and a decent difficulty level, this game looks and feels great.
The Rare Witch Project should be covering GBTG somewhat extensively, so look for some great specials, a review, and a lot more.
If you notice any references to Banjo Kazooie other Rare games please share, and eventually we'll be tabulating a complete listing with pictures. You can post those in the Banjo Kazooie thread: http://www.rarewitchproject.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=506
Get going, this game is excellent.

Thank you SubDrag, it sounds intresting. Not having an X box myself I can only read things on the net, and I enjoy reading any news about it here.
Can't wait to see the picture(s) of the Ice key/ eggs/ maps .:)

Well damn, now that the game is out, I'm finding myself desiring an XBox. Hey, perhaps the RWP could sponsor me? I can make videos and MP3's :p

It sounds great and all, but 6 hours and 23 minutes? Games seem to be getting shorter and shorter nowadays... I'm debating whether I should wait until it's a platinum hit. Especially after I rushed out and bought Grunty's Revenge only to be disappointed by the length.

Well that was game time, I think excluding dying. Also, this game has a lot of replay value. I definately can see myself playing through a bunch of times, getting better, etc.

Me too. I was going to save up and buy a PS2 but whenever i get an amount more then $25 i have to spend it. I just can't help myself... however there was one exception. I saved up $800 for the Gamecube's Release so I could buy the console, Games and accessories.
If i save up all my money I should have enough money in about 3 1/3 months... great... loooooong time without a game that everyone loves (like BK:GR I am still waiting to get that cause the person from eBay has been "taking her sweet time" if you know what I mean)

Well IGN and PlanetGamecube both rated it 7/10. The other scores were pretty good but Gameplay really lowered it (I believe a 5 or 6). They said it was to repetitive. Do you guys think so?

A little repetive during chapter 2, but as you move along you'll find it very exciting and fun, and both scores did not give justice to this amazing game.

Yes, but they're both talking out their asses, which is the usual, at least for for IGN. As for PGC, why is a GCN site reviewing an Xbox game? And even if they have a reason, do you really think they'd look at it from an unbiased point of view? ;)
I'm going to eventually play this and end up loving it. I know it. Then I'm going to review it and give it a nice high score, which it most likely deserves.
I have this nasty feeling that this game is going to end up like Blast Corps and Jet Force Gemini - they both got pretty much ignored/panned, and then a few years after they came out, people start to realize how good they are. :(

Gamespy gave it a 2 out of 5. ::cringes:: Personally, I think that it looks likea ver innovated platformer. Plus it's one of the only X-Box exclusives. ;)

I went out and got an XBox on Sunday just for this game (buy 2 games get 1 free at ToysRUs this week). I was a tad disappointed with it in the beginning, the attacking seemed way to simple and predetermined. But, needless to say, as you progress, it gets definitely gets more interesting.
I just began chapter 2, and damn if this game doesn't grow on you. I don't know how you guys finished in under 7 hours. I find myself constantly adjusting the camera trying to get a better look at all the portraits.

SubDrag

I think its replay is unfortunately limited. Although it would be good every few months to replay, but not continuously like other games.
