I JUST DID THE IMPOSSIBLE (AKA: Hexic Topic)

First off, if you never played Hexic before (...) take a glance at it real quick. http://zone.msn.com/en/hexic/default.htm It is a game by the creator of Tetris. You spin three hexagon pieces in a circle in an attempt to create a block of three. Doing so blows up the three colors which causes a drop and more hexagons to appear.

An HD version of this game came with every X-box 360 since launch. In order to get all the gamer points you had to actually BEAT Hexic.

Now, if you didn't try the game yet, don't read past this point until you do.

In order to BEAT Hexic, you have to form a Black-Pearl Poo-Bah. First, you have to surround one piece with 6 of the same color. This turns it in to a star piece. NEXT, you have to surround one piece with 6 star pieces. This turns it in to a black pearl. FINALLY, you have to surround ONE PIECE WITH 6 BLACK PEARLS >_>'.

Obviously I wouldn't be posting if I didn't do it. This took HOURS of slave work to accomplish. Easily one of my best video game achievements to date.

So... I have to make this topic reply-able. Hmmm. ITT, DISCUSS HEXIC. Also, try to win yourself. See how far you make it =/.

Oh, and by the way, you don't need to make a "flower" of Black Pearls, you just have to make a cluster of 3, but a 6 around one will also win it, I found out in the rules on msn.

Oh yeah. I meant I got the Black Pearl Poo-bah which is considered "Winning with 100%" to most people :p. I forgot you could win with just three, thanks.

Though I've never played Hexic myself, I can relate to the merits of accomplishment. In doing something especially hard, it's a very worthwhile feeling knowing you did something you thought at one time was impossible.

I slept from 4-11 one day and 5-10 the next day. It took three full days of mad Hexic almost :p. And according to here (http://www.top360tag.com/Reports/GameSummaryStats.aspx?gid=29), I was the 326th person out of over 350,000 to get it done :p.

You can beat survival on the first stage XD. If you clear the board entirely you just win automatically.

No kidding that's impossible, Grey! Incredible work on your part! I started playing it yesterday, per your encouragement through this thread. Holy cow. I had no idea how addicting that game was! After playing for a little while, I got a "flower" of seven blocks. I wasn't trying one bit, and the thing formed down in the corner. It left a little star that I didn't know what to do with. :p

Anyway, this game is really cool, and I can't wait to really get into it, so I can learn strategies, and what*not!

I've gotten 11 out of the 12 achievements for Hexic, and I think I have a game going with four black pearls waiting to be assembled. I just need to set aside some time, work up the courage and exercise every last bit of my patience and I might be able to position two more of them.
