I remember back when I younger (around 7 or 8) I used to play Croc for the Saturn... that game was supposed to be aimed at younger kids, but it was hard, too! >< My mom made me put a pillow in front of me so that I could throw my controller at it when I became angry at the game. XD

Hm, what else... well, I thought that the original Super Mario Bros. was kinda tough. Then again, I was about 4 or 5 when I played it... yep, that's right. I played my first game when I was 4 years old.

Tell ya what, though... the game that was the hardest for me was Parappa the Rapper or somethin' along those lines. God, I HATE that game! I can never get anywhere when playing it...

Stuntman (PS2) is insanely difficult, especially if you're going for 100% completion. Like me.

Every game ive ever played (except point and click discworlds for some reason) i havent finished. So its games ive finsished i have less of :P I didn't even finsih Pikmin for goodness sake, i got arse clenchingly bored with it. THERE ONLY BEAN SPROUTS CARRYING AROUND BITS OF MACHINERY AND GETTING EATEN BY BIRDS!

Actually I have a somewhat spotless record meaning that once I play a game I usually finish it. However there is one game that still eludes me...Bomberman 64, I'm stuck in the 3rd level of rainbow palace and have been for at least 3 yrs now! It drives me insane to think that I've had it that long and STILL haven't completed it yet.

Personally, I think Dance Dance Revolution is an evil game. Once you get the hang of it, I'm sure its easy, but it takes people an average of 2-3 months to get enough skill to just PASS some stages. X_X. You talk about RPGs taking forever...2-3 months...

Ditto. I used to play Sonic 1 (the first game I owned) when I was 3 or 4. I could collect almost every ring in every level and never get hit throughout the entire game. A nearly flawless completion at age 3 or 4.

Odd thing is, I can't even do that now >=(. I guess it was the 10 or so monotonous hours in a row of the same game. Obviously, I don't play the game, nor any other game, for such a long period of time anymore...

OH MY GOD...I HATE RAINBOW PALACE. Stage 1 is easier to complete, stage 3 is way easier to get all the custom pieces on. Either way, that is truly an evil game. I remember striving away for hours on those levels just to complete them. I haven't played that game since like....the year it came out. I should pick it up again.

sad thing is grey that if we wanted the golden custom armor we needed to beat the game in 3hrs and have all 120 gold cards I'VE BEEN PLAYING NOW FOR 20HRS AND 35MINS AND ONLY HAVE ABOUT 105 AHHHHHHHH!!!!!:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Yeah, actually I got the gold armor. The trick is...have two save files. On one, get to Rainbow Palace. On the other, practice the stages a MILLION TIMES IN A ROW, then switch to the other and beat it real fast =).

I've only played about 2 minutes on Contra 3.
But I think Contra: Shattered Soldier is the most insanely difficult game for modern times I've ever played.

I think that Mortal Kombat 3 Doom 2 are very hard. Crash 1 is insanely difficult, esp. since it's targeted for younger audiences. Twisted Metal 2 and Black, Sonic 2, Tomb Raider 3, and Time Splitters 2 are a little hard.

But, all of these (with the exception of MK3) are all the fun kind of hard. I thought DK64 was FRUSTRATING hard. I beat only TM2 and DK64 so far out of all these listed.

Overall, the hardest games I've ever played:
1. Contra: SS
2. MK3
3. DK64 (beaten)
4. Doom 2
5. Crash 1 (beaten)
