Yep, they finally got him! Best news I've heard in quite a long time. Well, I'm glad that a bit more of the war is done...

I can't believe they've caught him alive. He looks like a worthless bum.
It's very good news.

I know what you mean. I thought that if they found him then he'd have killed himself.
It's taken long enough but at least they finally have him.
He did certainly dig himself into a hole though didn't he.

I was going to post this after I read through the millions of topics about it there are on IGN...but I digress....
Good news indeed. :)

Oh yay we caught Saddaum...
Now that we have him, Bush has a justified reason to wage war on another helpless country. Fantastic.
Escuse my lack of enthusiasm, but this is as bad of news as it is good.

 GAAAAAAH!!!!! I HOPE NOT!!! He had better not be re-elected next year... that would SUCK.
In other words, I'm very happy that we caught him. It's about time, huh? However, I do agree with Grey... let's just hope that Bush doesn't do that. But he probably will, being the moron he is.

Here's the question:
Which Saddam?
:p
Or did they finish up his DNA test, and it's confirmed that it's actually him?
breegull_master
14th December 2003, 11:43 PM
Grey- I agree that the idiot is war-hungry, but they weren't so helpless a country, were they? More than not, i suppose...
Icy- I think they finished the DNA test this morning and it was the real Saddam.

What puzzles me is this;
He has a whole world to choose from yet Sadam picks a tiny hole in the ground at a farm in his own country.
Why not Hawaii or Barbados? ;)

Because a hole in the ground is what nobody would have excpected. The best place to hide is the last place to look.

Yes, the last place they'd expect, and the first place they checked for months. :p. He seriously might've been better off on US Grounds...because come on. If Saddaum walked by, would you seriously believe it was Saddaum? =P.
I can't even spell Saddaum right I don't think...meh. Thats alright George Bush can't spell his own name and he got elected...well eh heh, ok, maybe he didn't...president of the US.

"In a recently conducted poll 45% of Americans said that they would re-elect George Bush. This came as good news to George Bush, as that is more people than what voted for him in the first election."

Not like there was much to choose from... between George Bush and Al Gore, if I were American, I'd vote for the nearest corpse. :p

There's a very good chance he'll soon start talking about Iran and how bad they are, then some communist country...
If he gets re-elected, another four years and we'll be rid of the war-lusting guy. I agree, that last election was very messed up, but of course Bush won't get rid of it, it got him elected.
Is it possiblistic that we use strategery to get them electorals?
EDIT: Hopefully he won't have spent all the country's money by the time we get a new president.
As this one editorial said: "Cut like a republican, spend like a democrat."

I can hardly imagine Saddam popping off down to do his shopping when US troops are looking for him. Though it has made a rather amusing picture in my head.:p

Yeah but when they are searching a hole in Iraq, and they find him, there is no doubt to them that it is Saddam. When you see him strutting down the streets of New York, you have doubt =P.

But see, it's genius. He could strut down the streets of New York, and nobody would care. Either that, or nobody would be able to comprehend such unspeakable evil walking through NY. Yeah... you'd brush it off. More than likely, someone would put him on TV and say he's a look-alike, when really, it's actually him.
Silly American culture. ;)
Which reminds me, AFV is on. :D

Everyone's happy he's caught but why did we go after him in the first place? With no connection to Al Quaeda, no WMDs, and the gassing of his own people happened like a decade ago, why did we go after him?
I'll tell you why, cause Iraq was threatening the U.S. Dollar by trading oil in euros, so our ruthless military had to invade the country (liberation is such a nice term) so we could control and own all the oil.
And apparently Sadaam wasn't so evil as to refuse purchasing weapons from AMERICAN COMPANIES, which people conveniently forget about.
And don't expect Osama to be caught anytime soon. The world needs a scapegoat and a bogeyman to keep people afraid and willing to give up civil liberties.

Same here. The diversity, hate, and bashing back and forth between the American people of those two parties is tearing this nation apart. There's much anger and hate nowadays.

Yes, and now that he is gone the country is better off, right? The economical advancement of Iraq is staggering. Thank the lord we got rid of Saddam.
Oh, Bush, while we at it can we borrow 3 or 4 of the 90,000 soldiers to North Korea to invistigate the guy with uh...the nuclear warheads ready to launch. Yeah, just give us the 3 that were surrounding the oil fields to make sure they didn't catch fire while chaos broke out among the cities that were almost completely unguarded.

Yes but there will be profits to be AFTERWARDS since the U.S are in control of the oil, why do you think that they aren't allowing France to help in the restoration of Iraq? They didn't help, so why should they reap the rewards?

I sware if George Bush Jr gets re-appointed (he wasn't elected, he was unconstitutionally appointed by the supreme court) I will either commit suicide or move to Australia, right next to Happybob.
And he will if touch-screen voting machines are used, the CEOs of the companies that produce them are "determined to have George Bush win"

If it happens, I'll be moving with you. Then again, suicide could work, too...
Guess we can only hope, huh?

8th February 2004, 12:08 AM
nah, you seem better than suicide.
I recently discovered that it was the Kurds, not U.S. forces, who found him first. The news that U.S. forces "caught" Saddaam were at a very convenient time, to both boost ratings and to sign the Patriot Act 2 into law. Bushco. knew that nobody would care about this liberty-destroying law if Saddaam and his hidey-hole was the only thing the news morons would cover.
P.o.t.O
8th February 2004, 02:15 AM
Well...It wouldn't suprise me if we find the proverbial "weapons of mass destruction" just around election time.
Just a question for the people that are for the war: Why are we even there? I thought that the Iraqis had nothing to do with the Al Queda and Sadam hated Osama Bin Laden. And from the looks of it, the Iraqi civilians we are 'liberating' have either been shot or shock'N'awed.

Ooo! Ooo! I know!
He DID, at one point, have nukes and other horrifying that could, if used in the sense the madman would probably use them, it might plunge the world as we know it into the nuclear holocaust.
However, I think we should pack up and leave now- Nothing is going on there positive, and the deathrate is a GI a day, and that will stack up.
He could've dumped it into the nearby sea, I forgot what its name was.
IT being the WMD.
cyberen
13th February 2004, 11:55 PM
yeah, it............
But people, when Bush co. pulls Osama out of a hat around election day, tell your families that it's just a cheap trick to be re-elected, and if the leadership of this country was any good, we wouldn't have any beef with Osama in the first place, cause 9-11 could have been EASILY prevented. In fact, special procedures were undertaken to make sure 9-11 DID happen.
