New Killer Instinct at X06?!

A rumor from a reliable source is saying that Killer Instinct is the game from Rare to look out for during the X06 event. So if I were you, I'd be prepping my thumbs for some more combos and popping out your SNES and N64's for some good old fashioned Killer Instinct practice. It seems it's coming folks...

Between Banjo and Killer Instinct, I must say KI seems more likely.

Even if the Banjo team were done with Viva Pinata, they can't be too far along with Banjo. Why announce a game if you don't have anything to show?

A lot of people have been waiting for a new KI though, so I'd say that would still be great news. :)

In all seriousness, it's either going to be a new KI or a new Banjo. A new KI would mean that...well, it'd be a new KI, and Dead or Alive 4 would finally have some fighting game-competition on the 360. Well, maybe.

Banjo might be wishful thinking, but the 360 doesn't really have an absolute ton of family-friendly IP right now. The upside to that is that it would mean Rare has the non-Arcade family 360 market by the...hair. The downside is that it's a kid-friendly game on the 360, and we know how well THAT alway-...

Killer Instinct on Xbox Live... now THAT will be a true competition of gaming skills! But 2d fighter (ie Street Fighter II) or 3d fighter (ie Soul Calibur II). We'll just have to wait and see...

It wasn't anyone from Rare, which seems to be the impression you all had gotten lol. My apologies for that. Just some rumor thing from 360advanced. They seem to be correct a lot of the time. Not this time though, apparantly lol

Ah well. personally, i'm glad it was banjo that got to come back. and i'm sure a KI game will be coming along shortly after that. either that, or a GBTG2, but i think a KI3 has a better chance.
