Okami

I've heard lots and lots about Okami, and I've been wondering, how good is it? I'm considering renting it.

I've considered buying a PS2 for it. Play magazine gave it a perfect score of 10/10, which I think they've only ever given like 4-5 games. Suffice to say, it's great, from what I hear.

ok, now it's becoming even harder to decide if i want to rent okami. i'm getting a lot of mixed reactions. some people say it's good, some people say it's boring. so i must know, all amazing graphics aside, just how fun is okami?

Ridiculously fun. Massive destruction of trees, waterspouts being created all at the touch of your fingertips, get it, NOW!

wow, destroying stuff. that does sound like fun. right now, i'm getting some more opinions on it on gamespot. but i'll probably end up getting it. then i'll make a review of it on gamespot and ign for all of you to see. :)

I just got the game yesterday and I'm only four hours in, but wow!

Okami is an amazing game. A unique and mystical concept, very cool abilities with the brush, and a great storyline. It's easy to get used to, and it looks beautiful, too. I'd recommend this game to anyone, especially those who enjoy Japanese folklore (as that's what much of it is based on). :D

If you like Zelda, you can't go wrong with this one. 'nuff said.

I still haven't got the chance to play it though. :p
But yeah, the game's awesomely good from what I saw.

I'm gonna have to check this game out too. It sounds very cool and fun. To be honest this is the first time i heard about this game , How long has it been out?

Edit: well i went and looked at some screen shots of the game and it didn't look to great So i watched about 3 videos and it looked awesome. The screens don't do it justice if you check this game out look at the video's it will blow you away.

Wow, I was actually thinking of posting an Okami thread. But I didn't think anyone here had it. How foolish I was. :p

Okami is AMAZINGLY fun. And rather long. I barely did any of the sidequests, but it took me around 40+ hours to beat it the first time. The dungeons are a bit easy, but I absolutely loved boss battles.

The areas were large and epic for once. I've been playing a lot of linear games lately, so Okami blew me away with all the traveling and exploration. I had lots of fun backtracking and trying to find new areas that I may have passed up earlier. Kept me occupied in those quests where you have to travel all over.

And yes, I would actually recommend you buy a PS2 just for this game. Though I don't find it as great as OoT, it beats the stuffing out of some of the other Zelda's. :cool:

I rented it yesterday, and it is F-U-N! Okami's one of my favorite games on the PS2. :D

I've heard of it and watched a bit about it on Gforce, and it DOES look like loads of fun ^^ What could be better?
