It came out for the GCN in the States on January 5th.
;)
I'll be getting the PS2 or Xbox version eventually, once I decide which version to buy. Both come out in the States on the 26th.

They must've delayed it, then. Well, no matter. I'm not pulling another BK:GR and buying it on the day it comes out, anyway. ;)

No, the GameCube one is out already. My cousin has had it for weeks now.

Yeah, Jason's right. The Xbox and PS2 versions are what come out on the 27th.

Get the X-box version. The PS2 version runs at nearly half the speed of the other two and has DREADFUL loading times, so say Japanese importists.
Personally I'll take Sonic Adventure 3 over Sonic Heroes 2.
Switching - The three player switching is too frequent and really slows you down in the long run. It wouldn't be so bad if you needed a different character every once in awhile...but when you have to fly to a ledge, then switch to knuckles and punch 1 little brick, then switch to Sonic to triangle jump a wall...I mean you can only go so fast. I prefer just blazing through with one character.
Plot - The cutscenes following the plot are TERRIBLE at the beginning and some don't even make sense. Towards the end it gets alright...but the cutscenes still lamely portray what could've been a much better if approached correctly plot.
Graphics - The stage graphics weren't so bad. As a matter of fact, I'd be willing to complement them on portraying nice amounts of background effects and textures. However, they focused TOO MUCH on graphics, and they no longer became decorative scenery but rather divergent eye candy. You don't realize the gameplay is toned down because you're awed by the visual effects.
And in the form of EGM...
The Good - Its still Sonic. Same characters, with the same attributes. Sonic is fast, Knuckles hits hard, Tails sounds transgendar, and you run through senseless courses to ultimately get to Eggman then the final boss.
The Bad - They focus too much on aweing you, and you lose control. I was like "WOAH THATS AWESOME" until I realized it was just graphics and I wasn't moving at all. There are MANY spots when the game takes control and you just hold up on the joystick. They do the loops, the rolling paths, and sometimes even the rails for you...
The Ugly - Shadow when he blinks. WTH? It looks like his eyes were ripped out...

After beating the whole thing (at least beating LAST. I don't know if that is the end), I would have to rate it a 6.75 . I wouldn't really want to own it, because once you beat it, you've pretty much gotten all you are going to get out of the game. And, I have experianced COUNTLESS glitches, most of them while I use the Sonic Team. Things can get pretty frustrating when theres so many glitches...and there's alot of plot holes, too. I mean, there's a zone where you are in this desert canyon, and then after three levels of that, BAM, you're in the middle of a jungle. How? Mostly you are just running around aimlessly doing flips and breaking boxes. SA2 actually had a point; there was a reason for you being where you were. Over all, I wasn't too impressed. There wasn't even a Choa Garden!!! :(

Well, er, the Sonic series isn't exactly known for mind-blowing plots. ;)
What? No Chao? Aw, damn...now I won't have an opportunity to fling the Chao unmercifully into the walls anymore...:(

The debate at the time was between the PS2 and X-box. Thats why I said get the X-box version. The GCN is the best according to reviews, thats the one I bought.

Here's a little tidbit I found when looking around in First person view.I'm not a perv either. Now I was Team Dark and I was Omega and I looked over and Rouge happend to be over there and she looked at me and winked.I was like WTH!?Thats a neat little secret(and probably the only worthy one,at least SA2/B and SADX had a GOOD reason to get all A's)to put in there.Anyway I kept trying to do it again and it's easier with Omega,Rouge has to be almost completly to your side and looking straight ahead not at you,and move the camera slowly and look at her uh...well...yeah anyway you figure it out(Bet it's real hard to guess huh?Yeah didn't think so)and it might take a few tries but she'll look at you and wink. It's odd really, for a Sonic game. Also I have the GC version so I don't know if it's in the others, should be though.
