View Full Version : Perfect Dark Save Stat Hacking

At some point since I picked up PDZ, my PD64 save file on my memory pak got corrupted. Sadly, my latest DexDrive backup was from May 2005 and my last cartridge backup had me at Killer: 7. I'd played PD64 a lot before launch in anticipation, reaching Near Perfect: 2 in the process. However, I did keep a text-based log documenting my stats (to track which ones still needed work) and it was last updated around the last time I played.

I was wondering if there's a way to hack my PD64 save stats and then use my DexDrive to save it to my memory pak. Since PDZ has been such a disappointment, I've been itching to play the original more, but it seems pointless without resolving this. And I know it should be possible, I believe I've heard that people hacked their stats to see the username and password for www.datadyne.com

My primary mission saves were corrupted, as well, but my backup on the cartridge only has me back a couple of Perfect Agent missions, which I can live with.

Here's my ranking-tracking text file. Note that it only tracks stats pertaining to ranking up.

Yeah its possible to do. Have you got an Action Replay Pro or GameShark Pro?

I've got a GameShark Pro V3.2 It hasn't really worked consistently since before I got my Expansion Pak.

Is there possibly a way I might do this on a PC, using an emulator, so I can transfer the save to my memory pak? Project64 has a gameshark emulator or something analagous built in, right?

I might even be satisfied with just running it on my PC; I've heard that the newest version of Project64 can render at high resolutions and eliminate PD's lag.

So, I have a brand-spankin'-new GameShark v3.3. What now?
